Unfortunately most of this isn't on the officials but the rules. They are calling what they were told to call. The whole point was to speed up the game. I guess they mean that you're not supposed to play defense, just go ahead and allow then to waltz on up to the rim for an easy layup.

Calling more fouls certainly doesn't achieve that goal.

There was 99 combined FT attempts in the South Carolina/Memphis game a few weeks ago.

It was horrible.

Yes it was.

And yes, SEC refs suck in pretty-much every sport.

It got to the point last night that both and LSU and UGA players were just driving straight into bodies for an automatic foul call. It was ridiculous.

contact fouls just need to be completely taken out of the game. Unless its a flagrant or you are directly effecting the shot..it should not be a foul. It's a fricking sport..quit being a bunch of pussies.

If a kid wants to drive at full speed into the lane just looking for a contact foul...he should be able to legally get shoulder checked

they need to rethink the rules.

It is getting ridiculous.

Our refs are bad.

Another example: UF 10 FT attempts last night to Vandy's 33.

Ncaa wants higher scoring games so they are trying to make it harder to play defense.

They should have just made the goal bigger.
