1. Clemson

2. Bama

3. UGA

4. LSU

5. OU

6. tOSU

Bama, UGA & LSU will likely cannibalize themselves, but 2 of these will likely have a shot at the playoffs.

Clemson is clearly not going to be challenged in the ACC.

OU may slip up, but I would bet they go undefeated. They could still have a shot even with 1 loss.

Ohio State is the wildcard, IMO. If they slip up, the door may be open for 2 SEC teams...assuming ND continues to look meh.

As of now, I think the locks are:
Clemson
SEC Champ
OU

So that leaves 3 legitimate teams fighting for the last spot.

It’s gonna be a crazy November.

Texas has shot against OU and I can see another 2 game split between the two. But am in agreement on your assessment.

I don't consider Clemson a lock for anything. Aggie showed a blueprint for how to get stuff done against Clemson even though they choked the game away. Clemson may play in a weak conference, but they still have a few tough games, despite what everyone seems to think.

Same can be said for Oklahoma. Especially Oklahoma, considering they don't even know what the word "defense" means. Oklahoma is always one sloppy day away from a loss.

In short, I think it's way too early to call any team a lock for the playoffs. It's only week 2 for God's sake. May as well still be talking about preseason polls.

Oregon, Washington, and Stanford all have one loss now. Utah and USC don’t look that impressive. Maybe WSU can manage to go undefeated, but we’ll see.

wisconsin might beat osu by 20. they are, by far, the most impressive team in the country. their o-line can move mount rushmore.

What game were you watching? I watched a game where Clemson’s 2nd string RB had 80 yards and the D kept the Aggies to 3 pts with seconds left in the game against 3rd and 4th string D players. 2nd and 3rd stringers were mixed in by the 3rd quarter.
Clemson has the entire offense back and the D is as good as the past. You just don’t know their names yet.

If OU and OSU can slip up somewhere, and Bama-LSU winner goes 12-0, the loser goes 11-1, then UGA goes 12-0 then we could have an argument for 3 SEC teams to be in. The SEC Champ and loser (if both are undefeated) and the LSU-Bama loser who went 11-1.

Honestly, I think it should be this way where 3 teams from the SEC get in but it probably won’t happen.

That will be the game defense forgot.

O/U will probably be set at 110

This is highly unlikely.

Your offense hasn't looked as impressive at it did at the end of last season, but that seems to be a constant for Dabo's teams.

Ross had a couple of drops that were easy catches and Lawrence had a couple interceptions that stopped a few drives. Yeah, you’re right. Watson had the same issues early in the season too. They tend to dial it in when the stakes get higher.

They can lose any single game other than the B12 Championship game and get in. They’re almost as much a lock as Clemson.

So far Clemson has just been playing with their food. When those DL replacements get more snaps, they will be a tough out.

Could be a type year that reshapes the playoffs.

Clemson showed that they could beat the team the people like you have held out hope for,"cause they played em tough last year ",well Clemson just DOMINATED them, taking away your little year long argument .What Blueprint was that again ?

Wisky always finds a way to screw it up.

Plus, any of the other teams would run the out if the stadium.

I wonder if there is some formula that could be used to trigger a 6-team playoff when there are more than 4 legitimate contenders?

Why OU?

Texas beat them last year.
OU won the game that mattered but why are they auto locks?

Syracuse or North Carolina will beat clemson...

Bama/Alabama/Lsu.. This is a toss up to early to tell...

Ou biggest test will be ... Texas/Ok state/Iowa state..

Ohio State will have to deal with penn state.. Maybe.. Big maybe michigan step up after this shite we saw with army.. Maybe purdue knock them off again..

All in all everything is pretty much wide open.. But these are the best teams now

They’ll score 50+ on every team along the way.

The voters will eat that shite up.
