LSU
2012 : Preseason #3, end of year #14
2013 : Preseason #12, end of year #14
2014 : Preseasons #13 , end of year #23
2015 : Preseason #14, end of year #16
LSU gets thought of highly by votes and Vegas every year. This isn't new.

Compare LSU's # of returning starters in 2016 to each of those seasons.
I'll wait

I hate to break it to you but last year, the year before that, the year before that et cetera have no bearing on this year

5Dimes will make bank off the Tennessee odds. You in-bred hillbillies are so desperate you actually believe the hype and will hock your sister-daughter and your uncle-daddy for some extra cash to buy a ticket.

You guys generally finish within 3-4 spots of where predicted. Almost never outperform your preseason expectation, but also generally never grossly under perform it.
You are the anti-Auburn (much like us).

While I completely agree with you that LSU has no chance to beat Bama, they could still win the SEC.

According to espn lsu second in the nation and 1st in the conference in returning starters with 18. Alabama 11th in the conference and Ole Miss 14th in the Sec. Alabama reloads so understand that but Ole Miss is not a contender with the people they replace.

2015 Returning Starters (Last Season)
#1 Tennessee
#2 Vanderbilt
#3 Ole Miss
#4 Arkansas
#5 LSU
#6 Texas A&M
#7 Kentucky
#8 Missouri
#9 Auburn
#10 Georgia
#11 South Carolina
#12 Alabama
#13 Florida
#14 Mississippi State
#12 won the National Title and beat #13 in the SECCG, while #14 won 9 games.
Forgive me if I don't decide who I think will be good based on a generic returning starters stat.

Of course not when you include the past 4 years where LSU hasn't played up to par. Go back about 10 years and I think you'll find differently.

I would agree with you if SEC teams played Texas tech level defense. That is to say, quite possibly the worst defense in the country a year ago

#88 Passing Defense S&P+
#115 Passing Defense Success Rate
#83 Passing Defense IsoPPP
#114 Adjusted Sack Rate
#97 Passer Efficiency Against
#97 Pass Yards Per Attempt
Yea, they weren't very good.
