The Athens Banner-Herald reports that 20 people were booked into jail on underage drinking charges. Seven suspects were jailed on intoxication charges and a dozen others were accused of disorderly conduct.
Authorities say 10 other suspects were charged with drunken driving in the hours after Saturday's game.

Good lord. The Athens police need to cool it. They should just try to bust coke users like the Tuscaloosa police.

clarke county is actually the poorest county in GA, one of the poorest in the nation, so the revenue raisers get all their funds from gutting the students and fan base. i fricking hate the athens cops. we had 50 arrested the first thursday of last fall alone

OXford laughs at this. Some weekends there are 120+ arrests. One game weekend a couple years ago the jail hit capacity and they started keeping people outside in roped off supervised areas and in some storage shed.

4 in highschool in BR and they were basically parking tickets. 2 in college in BR and I didn't even have to poor my drink out. 1 in Oxford cost more than the other 6 combined.
