Whiskey, show me a period in A&M's history comparable to UGA under Richt. I'll save you the trouble of looking up the fact that we have more top 10 finishes under Richt than you have in the past 60 years

We've underachieved at times but good lord is yalls history pathetic for being the 2nd best team in such a large state. Hell our state's little sister school (GT) is even light years better than A&M historically.

Are you trying talk shite about our history?
You do know were top ten historically right?

What's A&M 30? 40? Are they even in the top 50?

I thought it was either sec championship or Natty. I didn't think anything else mattered. Did I miss that? The rant made that perfectly clear. Finishing fifth in the Nation and shattering the legendarily Defensive SEC all time Offensive records in A&Ms first year with a freshman QB apparently was nothing even noteworthy in this conference. So why would losing to a team A&M beat at their house just to not win the sec be any different.

No SEC. No Natty. Finally beat a decent team. thats good.

I'm not saying A&M has a better history - I'm just saying easy about hitching your wagon to LSU, Bama and Florida.

Those 3 have their own club.

Whiskey- It is mighty funny being called out by a TAMU fan about underachieving. I know you are new to the SEC, but UGA has had a pretty decent run the last 12 seasons. Before UF, LSU, BAMA and Auburn fans pile on, we haven't won a national title. But, the following stats are pretty darn good.

118 wins, 6 division titles, 2 conference titles

When was the last time TAMU played in a BCS bowl?

No, you said UGA was the king's of underachievement. Ignoring the fact that we have more SEC titles than everyone but bama and Tennessee. Since you pointed that out I decided to point out that your program is and has been amazingly situated as the 2nd strongest team in a America's 2nd largest state, yet is historically behind fricking Minnesota and would be 3rd historically in Georgia

A&M<Minnesota

Richt is 1-9 against top ten ranked teams since 2008, with the lone win coming in ‘09 against #7 Georgia Tech. The knock against Georgia has always been there because the Dawgs are a recruiting powerhouse, but the five-star talent sometimes disappears once it gets on campus. And while there is a ton of talent this year that has played exceptionally well, they were just beaten by a much more physical and strong willed team in South Carolina.

Georgia last beat an SEC team ranked in the top 10 in 2007 against Florida, known as the Gator Stomp game.

However, this year was supposed to be different with a seasoned veteran quarterback, nine starters returning on a top-five ranked defense a year ago and one of the softest schedules ever.

You're an idiot. Florida was ranked #2 when we beat them last year.

You are more than welcome to go back to being little brother in the UT conference. Know your place and sit down. You might have one more fall in the sun, then back to perennial 7-5 for the collies.
At least the guys in the west get to raid that Texas talent each year.

I admit A&M has been the most underachieving team probably of all time. I have already alluded to this.

This board is not used to people who admit positions of weakness or failure - so it is confusing to an all attack mentality.

A&M was under poor leadership once it became an institution capable of winning on a high level. The leadership was happy with wining a crappy swc and most aggies are nice people so they kind of celebrated a period where we actually squandered a chance to win a couple of nattys. We were favored in every game for years but had a poor coach. But they loved him.

A&M has finally gotten out from under this administrative lockdown and is free to utilize its vast resources.

If you follow recruiting you will see the qbs are already lining up literally behind jff. One from west coast - but Texas has no shortage of spread qbs.

We have the D coming in now as well. A&M is here to stay.

Now that I have admitted A&M has squandered its chances there is really no thunder to say A&M sucks.

The problem is Ga - is better than A&M historically but are big game chokers.

Have the balls to say it like it is like I did. Surley some of yall are fed up.

Don't take it out on ole whiskey

I'm dying to learn about this multi-year stretch where A&M was favored in every game.

The SWC days. For instance we went 10-0-1 with a tie to smu post death penalty.

We went 10-1 with a loss to Tulsa on a bomb on I wanna say in the last 2 min. of the game.

Both of those years could possibly been nattys (probation years I cant remember - but the ability to lose was always there).

Record vs. top ranked teams. terrible.

Our defense was probably the best that has ever lined up. All we had to do was move the ball a little and couldnt do it.

If you are ols enough - Kevin smith (cowboys), aaron Gleen (jets), ray mickens (jets), aaron wallace (eagles) sam adams (pats?) eric england, john roper, quinton coryott etc.. same team

squandered

The SEC East. Where did A&M finish in their division?
Final rankings?
1 Alabama (56) 13-1 1400
2 Oregon 12-1 1322
3 Notre Dame 12-1 1253
4 Georgia 12-2 1213
5 Texas A&M 11-2 1171

And how many of those does A&M have?

Finishing fifth in the Nation

And 3rd in your division.
And where did the "underachieving" Georgia Bulldogs finish? Oh, yeah. 4th in the nation..

I'm not saying A&M has a better history

Then why were talking badly about Georgia's history? I mean, you want to bring up some article that says Georgia underachives because we don't win more, and because we are in a state with great recruiting...but Texas A&M is in Texas, considered a BETTER state to recruit in, and what have YOU accomplished?
