There are plenty of spectacular amenities around the SEC (we covered a few of them last year), but it’s the little things that can make a difference to a football program.
Here are five such perks that make these program special:
Alabama's Wavecam System
Texas A&M Lockers
South Carolina's Indoor Practice Field
Ole Miss' Grill at 1810
Arkansas Covered Parking Spaces

SCAR's BoT's approved a big locker room upgrade late last year ... it's going to be spectacular and will include video over the lockers just as A&M has ... among other things that we are hoping will make ours the finest in the conference once it is completed.
I was told we've budgeted somewhere around $10k per locker ... so they are going to be very nice, obviously. And that's not counting the myriad of other features that are going to be built into the locker complex itself, which, I am of the understanding that the new complex will be built next to the Indoor Practice Facility and then there will be actual "Gameday Only" lockers remodeled in the stadium itself.
It's supposed to end-up with one being for all business (practice) and the other being for "the show," on game days.
While I was being told, I liked the concept.

Yes ... basically it is larger than most, is more modern naturally because it is brand new, and it has some neat features here and there that we're hoping will give us an advantage in various ways, technologically speaking.
Clint Stoerner was recently there, on behalf of ESPN/SECNetwork, and he declared it the finest indoor practice facility he has yet to see in the country.

If Oregon is the undisputed king of college football facilities, then Texas A&M would probably be its little brother.

UK is in the middle of finishing their new practice facility ($45 million) and will feature:

A 70-foot long, 6-foot deep cold plunge tank capable of holding 30-40 players at once. Korem saw the concept in Australia and prefers the large pool to more common cold tubs because the deeper you get in the water, the higher the pressure gets. In addition, players will be able to move around in the pool, which will release the microbubbles that surround the body, creating a better cooling effect. The first of its kind in the US. “The cold plunge tank was a big deal,” Korem admits.

Korem says the state-of-the-art high performance lab is the first of its kind, and he and head strength and conditioning coach Corey Edmond are still customizing equipment as it comes in. “We created some of our own stuff, so I’m excited for people to look at us and see it’s not just in the high-performance realm, it’s a lot of stuff,” he said. “I think the people of Kentucky are going to be pretty stinking proud of this building.”

The main LSU athletic housing...the West Campus Apartments...
West Campus Apartments
As is true of all NCAA "athletic housing" less than 50% is reserved for athletes. But because this is apartments rather than a dorm, LSU athletes are grouped together.
Some LSU athletes are housed in the East Campus Apartments...
East Campus Apartments
Both East and West Campus Apartments are probably the nicest athletic housing in the SEC.
