Aren't the recent offers for all 2024 players? I would think 2024 is a much bigger priority than 2025 at this point.

Nah 2025 is a bigger priority than 2024 if you’re a recruiter.

We've heard this kind of thing in the past at another school.

Any committed player should have been contacted by now no matter what year

That’s not a good look in recruiting

Instate recruiting is a program’s backbone.

I’m hearing there are other instate recruits saying the same thing. No communication with new staff so far.

I think this is just a case of the new coach not understanding that in the SEC, it's a different world. It's one thing to coach/recruit in the Pac-12 and Mountain West, not to mention he's only been a D1 HC for four years, and suddenly jumping into the deep end where are sharks live.

By now, if he hasn't contacted every recruit committed to Alabama, regardless of class, he's not qualified to coach in the SEC! Alabama fans are in for a big surprise because this new guy hasn't been able to hold onto the current players and he's already losing future players.

I guarantee you a young Nick Saban would have stayed up days to make sure he kept his current players and didn't lose any future committed recruits.

I guess that's what happens when you hire a former NAIA coach/west coast guy that's never recruited in the south to go against the best coaches in the country and expect good results!

No one who affiliates themself with Alabama, in any capacity, should be surprised by anything that happens moving forward. If you didn't realize this day/time would come eventually you need to check into your local rehab center. DeBoer is gonna make this his team, and he can't claim that with Saban's players.

We've all talked a lot of smack and crap to each other/fanbase for years, with all of us not UA wishing we'd enjoyed your success. So going backwards was gonna happen, whether anyone admits it or not.

Welcome back to our world...................

I guess Saban is "helping out" this new staff of yours. The goat is either not being listened to or he is flat out screwing bama for his legacy.

What a guy to have in the building!

Well he did recommend LSU hire Houston Nutt to replace him so you may be on to something there.

I kept telling these Bama fans and biased people who believe Bama won't be hurt much from this hire. The major problem is that Deboer is not a recruiter. The dude has only had one power 5 job, and that was for 2 years. He has only had 2 FBS HC jobs period. Both stints were two years. He has not established anything and pretty much has won with others' players. His connection to Penix when he was on staff at Indiana was his lightning in a bottle moment.

How are your hires guys from the staff you worked with at Indiana and Washington? You needed southern recruiters, and I'm talking guys that recruit big time players.
