Ha, just looked up the time of possession numbers and UT is middle of the pack. Compare that to 2012 where we were near the bottom in the country, yet we had the SECs #1 offense. Also 0 of the top10 offenses in the country are in the top 10 in time of possession. More proof that you and your statement are moronic.

Award finalists are announced, then the winner is selected from the finalists in a surprise ceremony occurring later on. Kinda like every other CFB award. Get it?

Your offense not being on the field a lot allows for an increase in defensive statistics. This is common knowledge. I never mentioned having a good /bad offense. I said TOP. If an offense goes 80 yards on one play it puts your defense right back out there.
Youre fricking stupid. I never said your offense was good or bad. If you can't see having a low TOP allows an accumulation of defensive stats, then you're a fricking retard. Boy

Our TOP is middle of the pack for the nation. That's my point. You're an idiot.
Our TOP is not great, but it's not bad either.

No. I'm the one that knows common knowledge football. If you don't think being 64th in TOP helps accumulate defensive stats, then you need help. I also stated that that's not the only reason. AJ is a damn good lb , but him being on the field more than 63 other teams has help him generate stats.

There are a whopping 5 teams ahead of us in TOP in the SEC. Again, you're original post was that of a moron. You've proved that.

What pawning? What I said is a fricking fact your ignorant frick. Let me explain it like I would to a 5 year old.

A defensive player that is on the field for 10 minutes has more time to generate tackles than a defensive player that on the field for 6 minutes.

Its called basic math.how has survival of the fittest not taken you out.

ETA: I even stated that's not the only reason for his stats. Just that it helps.

I hadn't checked the rankings after the bama game.(they were in both before)I'm not saying it's the best D in the country, but it's not horrible like you implied in your moronic post.

AJ is leading the SEC in tackles for one reason, he's damn good.

Well why didn't you mention that before you spewed out a bunch of old BS rankings?

Of the other 14 candidates, 6 play on teams with a higher TOP per game than UT.

The candidate with the most averaging a little more than 3 minutes per game in TOP.

So, really TOP doesn't mean as much as you think. If a player accumulates tackles it's generally due to him flying to the ball.

Again wrong. It was Monday.

My point is still correct. So get fricked boy. Being on the field more lest a defensive player have more time to generate defensive stats.

Aj Johnson is about to shatter the SEC record for career tackles. Say what you want, he is a great LB. He flies to the ball, he has been through the worst few years of UT football in history yet he gives his all for his team, and has shown improvement every year. He will be a very dependable LB in the league. I don't know why tigerfan cares so much about this, considering his team just beat a top 5 team, but I don't make the rules.

That's the problem with your argument, AJ hasn't been on the field more than any other candidate. That's what makes it so stupid. I hope you've enjoyed getting schooled and anytime you wanna get called just post more of your bullshite.
