Interesting read IMO from Pro Football Focus:

1. DE Derek Barnett is one of the best players in the entire country
2. Barnett isn’t the only potential star on defense (see link for more info on this)
3. Jalen Hurd and Alvin Kamara might be the best running back duo in the nation
4. Joshua Dobbs is one of the best running QBs in the country
5. The schedule is relatively kind to them

5 reasons Tennessee won't win the SEC in 2016

1) We're too young.
2) Our players don't have the experience
3) We don't have the depth
4) Our coach can't make decisions in crunchtime
5) We're too young.

None of this is true. We have talent, depth, and experience this year for this first time in a while (which most of you don't understand - we were actually young for 3-4 years due to coaching turnover and player attrition - its what happens when you have 4 coaches in 6 years)

We'll just have to wait and see

2 reasons why they can't...

1. They're playing Bama in October.
2. If they win the east...they're playing Bama in December.

I don't think it was meant to be taken literally. I believe he was being factious.

Why can't UT fans take a punch? I know a few serious fans in Houston and they just don't seem capable of dealing with the give/take. Has UT just been down for so long its sick of being beaten? Is it cultural?

Well he wasn't being facetious about the garbage crunchtime decisions because that's a thing that were scared of

Five more reasons...

1. Recent domination of East rivals UF, UGA and Missouri.
2. Recent East success in the SEC Championship matchups.
3. The number of East teams breaking in a new head coach. Butch Jones and Mark Stoops are the veteran coaches in the East.
4. UT doesn't have to worry about youth anymore. They can finally play old man football.
5. Setting the bar for winning the East is too low.
