Yeah it is a little interesting considering if you had made it the last 10 years, which I think everyone would agree is a better standard of time, you would have to include one more 5+ loss season for your beloved crimson tide. But you don't want that do you?
Why would that at all be relevant? We'd still have the lowest number of 5 loss seasons in the SEC.
I included the last 8 years because that's when Nick Saban showed up and it basically changed the entire make-up of the SEC. I'm not sure many people would disagree with that.

I initially left Alabama off the list completely to avoid bullshite comments like the ones I've had to address in this thread.
Maybe I should have.

Beginning of the Saban era in Tuscaloosa, first season of the huge "SEC on ESPN contract," etc. It is a decent starting point.

Start your own thread for any other criteria you want. This thread is about losses.

I guess after reading these threads Auburn's big 6 application has been denied

We, clearly, have no five loss seasons in the last eight years. Duh.

I think even a casual non-SEC college football fan could predict the top two. Yet the Decline is so real.

The decline is only real if we're looking at yearly win totals and end of season results. Realistically, "tDecline" wasn't even mentioned until after 1/9.
