Why would that at all be relevant? We'd still have the lowest number of 5 loss seasons in the SEC.

I included the last 8 years because that's when Nick Saban showed up and it basically changed the entire make-up of the SEC. I'm not sure many people would disagree with that.

Beginning of the Saban era in Tuscaloosa, first season of the huge "SEC on ESPN contract," etc. It is a decent starting point.

I think even a casual non-SEC college football fan could predict the top two. Yet the Decline is so real.

The decline is only real if we're looking at yearly win totals and end of season results. Realistically, "tDecline" wasn't even mentioned until after 1/9.
