...and then half of those kids won't even be in College Station after 2 years thanks to the transfer portal

Crab legs made Jimbo at FSU much like Burrow and Orgeron, and Scam Cam and Chizik.

Nobody is mentioning the fact it's no guarantee these players will buy into the program and work hard. It's possible that some may pull a Isaiah Wilson and just be fat and happy with modest money (compared to what they can get in the NFL, esp. on 2nd contract).

You do realize this makes you look worse than them, right?

Who gives a frick about their recruiting class?

Get it together LSU fans.

That's a fair point. How many act like Jamarcus Russel after he got paid and NGAF?

Nobody spent $30 million on a recruiting class. Why do people believe this crap?

This goes beyond their class. This is killing the one sport I still watched. Hopefully, this makes the NCAA put some sort of cap on NIL bullshite. This isn't good for the sport no matter how many fAggies celebrate it.

Literally everybody is mentioning this

99% of non A&M posters think the following:

Half of the class will portal out in 1 year

The players won’t live up to their rating

We will lose at least 4 games in perpetuity

How is the ncaa going to cap a contract between a business and an individual? Under what authority?

Do you ever think about things before you post them?

Watching some of you guys process the changes in CFB will be exciting the next few years. Everyone can supply Chargers now. Traditional recruiting areas won't matter. Can't wait.

Do you seriously think they couldn't put some regulations and standards in place for everyone to abide by? Are you purposely obtuse or just stupid?

Truthfully sports aren't fun for me anymore so I won't be that upset. I will just simply watch less and less.

They certainly can put rules in place that could influence NIL. They actually already have. We will see if they have the will and ability to enforce them. They can’t cap NIL deals.

You prove your stupidity daily, but you’ve also proven your lack of self awareness so this is no surprise.

thanks for proving my point

Jumbo must have got that letter from the NCAA concerning NIL investigation. They are trying real hard to beat down that $30,000,000.00 fire.

Dumb question, but what good is a 30 million dollar recruiting class when the transfer portal allows those kids to bounce right out the door to another school in a year or two?

It is fun to bash on Texas 8&4, but the reality is everyone who uses NIL to recruit talent is going to experience the same thing. Lazy and unmotivated players (and their parents) who are only in it for the payday. If left unregulated, this thing is going to become a huge headache.

So, if everybody is using the NIL as it was intended, the deal a player signs goes with the player. I would imagine there is a clause in the contract that says, as long as you are a player for said team we will honor the contract. I'm not sure of the details, but wasn't there a qb that signed a huge NIL deal while at Ohio State that transferred out. Wonder how that affected his NIL deal?

The belief that 30 million was shelled out for a recruiting class is ridiculous. I agree that lazy players who get a deal could be a problem for any school.

$30,000,000.00 bought the most NCAA sanctions any school has ever had. (They will tie with SMU and Arizona State)
