Can't wait to see this UK team come down to Auburn. Hopefully we can hang with you guys for a long while like we did last year. Fun to watch.

I wasn't just rooting against UK because it's UK. The fiancé is a Dukie and when Duke wins she's happy happy happy...when they lose, she ain't.

You'd get a lot of Disney quotes and "eat my butthole". Which is odd, because I have no idea how he put that together and he says it all of the time.

Got that John Terry elocution.

You'll learn that about 5% of users on this site know anything about basketball. They have no idea that UK's starting PG didn't play. Overall, this is what I expected. Maybe this will teach these guys that they don't "poop ice cream".

I'm not sure they were a "poop ice cream" bunch as much as they're more raw then most of Cal's squads to this point. I thought they played well considering.

They showed some fight that you can't teach. Showed aggression on defense early which is ALWAYS a good trend for Cal teams. They refine their offensive game a bit and they're going to be damn good.

This is not unusual. Most women wear the pants in any relationship.

I just caught the last 10 minutes, but they just looked a little uncertain about their roles, not sure who their goto guy was and were a little over-anxious on defense.

Heckuvva lotta talent on that team. Scary raw talent. Cal will coach em up.

Sucks to lose but the team showed flashes.

Wiltjer needs to get more involved in the offense.
Noel has to quit biting on every single pump fake.
Goodwin needs to learn to control his speed.
WC-S needs to realize if he wants to play its going to be as a PF.
Harrow needs to be at least serviceable once he's healthy.

The fact that they didn't roll over and get blown out makes me happy.

I think there are a couple that may be. Not all of them.

Agreed, I'm disappointed in the defense so far. Cal's teams are always good early at D. Noel has to stay on the ground and trust his blocking ability. That's what made Davis so good. I heard numerous people, including Jay Bilas, say that Noel was a better shot blocker than Davis as a HSer. That is a bunch of shite.

This makes me feel much better than the score dictated. They fought. I like that a lot.

Yep, too much standing around. Again, a lot is probably due to Harrow being out. Dickie V mentioned getting Wiltjer more shots, which is true, but he has to work to get open. There was a lot of standing around and little flow. The good news is this is November and does nothing to our season. When this group figures it out, My GOD!!!! Oh and it was nice to see the real Poythress tonight.

This was a good benchmark game for UK to see where the freshmen stand in college hoops right now. They lost to a team that starts three seniors and was hot from three by 7 points. They'll be fine when March rolls around.

I can't even watch a game with my wife. She goes batshit crazy over every turnover, foul, missed FT, missed shot, defensive lapse, or other team hitting a shot. I looked at her tonight and even said, "this is the last game I watch with you this year, because this isn't last year's team." She will be mad about this loss for a week. By mad, I mean, wants to fight everyone.

Not bad when you go 38-2. The problem lies in Football season, where it is similar.

I played basketball my entire life including in college. I'll be the first to say that UK will be very good as the season progresses and when their PG returns.

But they were just flat out out-played tonight. No if, ands, or buts about it.

Great game. It's early and UK fans should just be happy that this game plays no role in making the top 64.
