Theodore (Ala.) running back Lamical Perine landed an offer from the Florida Gators late Thursday night after running backs coach Tim Skipper evaluated him earlier in the week. On Friday, the 5-foot-11, 210-pound prospect pounced on the tender and committed to Florida over Mississippi State.
"It's just the Swamp," Perine said of Florida. "It's one of the best places in the nation to play. I love it."
Skipper played a big part in landed the talented ball carrier.
"We're building a good relationship right now," Perine said of Skipper. "He's a real down to earth guy and I like him."
Perine is Florida's thirteenth commitment in the 2016 class. The 247Sports Composite, an industry generated average, currently ranks Perine as the nation's No. 38 running back in the 2016 class.

I hope Mac does well at UF.
If this kid performs like Coffee & Ingram did in Tuscaloosa for JM and gives him a play-action game? The Gators will be back sooner rather than later.

McElwain is recruiting better than I've ever seen at RB for UF. I've heard mixed reviews on this kid, but the good things I've heard, I like.
