Imagine this scenario. Bama 13-0 SEC Champs, Georgia 12-1 with lone loss to Bama in the SEC Title game, and LSU 11-1 with lone loss to Bama. Clemson 13-0 again cause of easy schedule, and then OU and Ohio State goes 11-2 as conference champs. I think the 3 SEC teams would get in in this scenario

It wouldn't be fair for Bama to have to play LSU again after having already beat them during the regular season.

I think the conference championship is considered a play-in game, so I'm not sure the loser of that game would get in in that scenario.

His middle name is Jim? Not James, but Jim?? A shortened version of a first name?

I guess I thought that was weird until I remembered Nicholas Lou Saban.

Imagine losing to Vandy 3 years in a row. In football.

LSU hasn’t finished higher than 3rd in the west since 2012. You’re not special.

If the loser is undefeated going in, most certainly can and probably will happen at some point. Especially if the game is competitive. Let me put it this way, if Alabama had beaten Auburn in 2017 and UGA had beaten Bama in the championship game, Bama would have still been in the playoff. They actually would've been a better take in that scenario than what played out.

Problem with that would be two-fold;

first is that there would be huge pushback from the rest of CFB and the nation if that was even under consideration. LSU and Georgia would be placed under the microscope and such things as poor blocking schemes, etc, would be cited to show why said teams weren't really deserving. It'd be irritating, to say the least.

Second thing is that Clemson won the last title, and 2 of the last few. SEC dominance isn't quite so evident as it was a few years ago.

I don't think we ever see more than 2 from any one conference.

The committee as a whole has proven that they don't really care what others think. There have been some on there, like Alvarez, who have complained. But you can't really fault the two really, really difficult decisions they made. Both OSU and Bama won the championship the year many considered it was controversial that they went. I think the other years have been pretty easy decisions. I think they'd take three one loss SEC teams if the season shows they've played more difficult schedules than two loss conference champions.

3 teams from the same conference will never make a 4 team playoff. Never. Ever.

A ONE loss SEC conference loser would get in. As in the case last season with UGA,don't lose a game in season ,then lose SECCG and cry about getting left out, you get your assed kicked by above average Texas team.

We start the season 0-1 due to the Bama curse, so 11-1 is alright by me.

And this is a very interesting scenario. IF this happened, the rest of the country would be in an uproar...

I’ll post it again for posterity’s sake and for those that want to bookmark it ... the sheep humping sister banging taterheads are not going undefeated this year. At the very least The U of SC will take them down in Cola-town last regular season game of the year. It is not out of the realm of possibilities that they’ll lose another prior to that as well.

I have no clue as to why so many pussies want to worship at the alter of the sheep humping sister bangers on this board .... one day you will learn.

Never ever show the sheep humpers respect.

Lemme ask you this ..... when the Nazis were kicking arse and taking names all over Europe, did America show them respect?

When Charlie Sheen was banging out every smoke show hottie within reach ... did you respect him?

When Lane Kiffin was at Tennessee ... did you respect him?

No, of course not. frick’em all.

So why show the sheep humping sister bangers this daily respect?

Has Steve Spurrier not fricked things up and ran that mouth about leaving thus destroying that last class of his ... we would not be having this conversation.

As it is The U of SC will soon make this constant taterhead conversation a mute point.

Grow a pair y’all.
