UK went a perfect 6-0 in conference and upset #1 West Virginia in front of a packed house
Conference championship will be at Ole Miss next and then on to the NCAA's. If UK wins its second NCAA trophy it could be Lexington Police Scanner II : Return of the naked man running with propane tank.

for a bunch of red states, there seems to be a shortage of schools with rifle teams in this conference

a) It was not bragging if you have the hardware to back it up
b) It was intended as dry humor as Lexington Police Scanner (UK) and couch burning (WVU) are legends for each school
c) I also tout Vandy bowling, Bama gymnastics, and other secondary sports where the SEC wins
d) all the above

You do realize UK rifle has historic roots in all the sharpshooters in the US army going back to the American Revolution that came from Kentucky, Tennessee, and West Virginia.
You are probably also aware Ft Campbell and Ft Knox are both in KY and in this issue we are all on the same team.

I agree 100%. I wish SC fielded one and I am going to bring that up to our AD the next time I see him ... which will be this week.

When I was there we had club teams for pistol and trap and skeet. Not sure about the rifle though.
