Takes some balls to have Vandy jump Arkansas even though Arkansas just won their weekend series, but I think it's the right answer. Vandy's 1-2 punch is just too ridiculous. Plus they lead the conference in OBP & SLG.

Normally if both teams keep winning against similar competition, the standings stay the same like Baseball America. But D1 had Vandy move ahead of Arkansas even though Arkansas won their series.

I'd prefer to not be #1. Can tell the team has started to play a little tighter last week. They seemed to turn it around Saturday and Sunday.

After our performance on Friday night, they made the right call.

Not really. We lost 3 in a row to LA Tech, OU in the midweek game, and then gave up 16 runs on Friday night to Bama.

I think the Hogs are good, but not necessarily the #1 team in the country good.

Truthfully, we aren’t (at present) the number one team in the country. We still haven’t figured out our starting rotation. Vandy’s first two starters are just absurd and are the favorite this year.

I think we have. Pallette had a type of outing he has never had. shite happens. I do think we see some shuffling.

Friday - Zebatron
Saturday - Lockhart
Sunday - Pallette

Well, I guess no one gave a shite Arkansas beat a ranked team. Vandy just too damn sexy.

Look who's on the Collegiate Baseball's Players of the Week.

quote:

RHP Jack Leiter, Vanderbilt: Leiter pitched a 9-inning no-hitter against South Carolina with 16 strikeouts during a 5-0 win. He walked the first batter of the game on a full count and then retired 27 batters in a row. Of his 124 pitches, 81 were strikes.

RHP Kumar Rocker, Vanderbilt: Rocker fanned 14 South Carolina hitters in 8 innings as he picked up a 3-2 win. Of the 116 pitches he threw, 82 were strikes.

Vandy is the best in the nation until further notice. We are closer to 10-15 than top 5. State will probably win the West.

Yeah, State got Arkansas and Ole Miss at home and drew both Kentucky and Missouri from the East. They are definitely the favorites at this point.

Ah yes, baseball season.

Was anything else going on this past weekend? If so I totally missed it as it probably wasn't that important

I see Tennessee as a bottom mid tier SEC team that hasn’t played anybody above average yet. They have some really good pieces but lack overall consistency at times. Last years team was special but this years team is not.

We have to play at Vandy and at South Carolina which will be tough especially Vandy.

We get A&M at home, Kentucky and Mizzou at home. Honestly should be 3 sweeps. 2/3 at Alabama. Sweep at auburn. 2/3 at USCe

Ole miss, Arky, at Vandy all toss up series.
