I melted hard when we lost to Kentucky in 2011 for the first time in my then 26 year old life....but maybe that was just because they played a WR at QB and we still lost. LOL

28 years is too long. It's just silly. This streak can't go on forever. This is their year to do it.

Knowing this, should it happen, there won't be a melt. We are still a hot mess and will be for 2 more years.

Hell no, don't give up on the streak. I hope that isn't the way our players feel about it. I hope the streak lives on!

Not giving up at all. Just know that at some point it will end. I don't want it to end.

Your players probably don't give two shits about "the streak". Sorry.

I'm a UK fan. That's why I'm in this thread.

And your players probably don't care about the streak. WHy would they? That's not to say they want to win any less.

Only 27 more wins over Alabama and we'll match it. Only a matter of time.

UF fans know this game could make or break their season, and maybe more importantly..their coach, and they're so fricking worried about it.

This week's game won't make or break our coach. It is his 3rd game and we are not a heavy favorite. Bo know you would love for it to, but it won't. However, your coach is gonna need to get to a bowl game pretty soon, and if he loses a winnable game to UF again..... I think it is the kitties who have the pressure.

Don't call me Bo, bro.

We will not struggle to make a bowl whether we win saturday or not.

How sure are you?

Dooley broke the streak for the Vols and how much longer before he got canned?

McElwain will be off to a rocky start if he's the one UK breaks the streak against. That's not to say he can't or won't go on to be successful, though, but it will be a lot harder if the Gators lose.

It is some streak for sure. Granted Florida was pretty good a lot of those years, but there's been a few bad teams in there. Nothing worse than last year, UK should have won.

So I ask, was WM the worst UF coach post Spurrier? I think so. Zook was better.

Yes. Muschamp was worse than Zook. It's not even really close. At least Zook never lost to Vandy and he left Meyer lots of talent to work with.

Losing 28 years in a row to any team in any sport is ridiculous, and UK as an institution should be insanely embarrassed by it.

I was there for the last win myself, didn't think it would be the last one for almost 3 decades.

With that said, the streak shouldn't matter to the player or coaches, they have lost at most 3 times to this team. Just go out and play. This year, like last, UK has the talent to complete with Florida. It's a home page. Need to win, and I could care less about the streak.

To be fair, Dooley got beat by a UK team that didn't have a QB available and did it with a QB converted to WR under center. That'd get just about anybody fired.
