247 - Najee Harris return for Senior year

quote:

Alabama will have its leading rusher for one more season.

Junior running back Najee Harris will pass on the 2020 NFL Draft and return to Tuscaloosa, Ala., for his senior year, a source close to the program confirmed to BamaOnLine. Harris is not expected to make an announcement on social media like his Crimson Tide teammates.

The Antioch, Calif., native has been back in Tuscaloosa since this past weekend.

Got to love the pieces back on offense and the idea that the defense will grow up next year.

Gotta think Alabama meets Clemson again next year. LSU Alabama TBD , but one of us is playing Clemson. Both them and Bama should be incredible.

What an idiot move

RBs depreciate quicker than any position in FB, makes no sense to take another year worth of hits for free

After 3 years of great performances in the Best Conference in CFB, playing for the best Program in CFB, he has nothing to else to show NFL Scouts that he hasn't already shown

Another year of free hits isn't going to improve his draft stock

Also if he did come out and fall to the 2nd Round, then he'll be able to hit FA 1 year sooner than a 1st Round draft choice, and cash in big on his 2nd NFL Contract

This is why the smart players go early even if they might fall to the 2nd or 3rd Round

This kid is getting some really bad advice

I'm not saying this cause it is Bama but any RB for that matter. It is awesome for CFB when good-great players stay in school but RBs that are draft eligible that will go rounds 1-3 should always declare and Harris would go that high IMO. He is a beast though and Bama fans should be very excited to bring him back.

Najee got a "return to school" grade from the NFL advisory committee. That's lower than round 3. This year's RB class is very deep.

But continue your melt, it's highly entertaining!

DeVonta Smith
Alex Leatherwood
Najee Harris
Dylan Moses

That's as many impact juniors as we've had return in 3-4 years

I like how discreet N. Harris is with his decisions and how he carries himself.

Respect!

Don’t look forward to have to deal with that truck load next year

Agree. It's refreshing in this day and age.

One loaded arse RB room next year.

Najee Harris
Trey Sanders
Brian Robinson
Keilan Robinson

Jase McClellan
Roydell Williams
Kyle Edwards

I imagine that someone else is going to transfer soon.

Been like that since his recruitment. He committed as sophomore in HS and despite all kinds of attention, recruiting by other schools, predictions he would flip, etc he basically didn't say shite to anyone and just showed up at Alabama for classes two years later.

The NFL's Draft Advisory Committee gave him a "return to school grade" (i.e., a below third round grade). You're saying he's stupid because he could be a first or second round guy, but that's not the grade he received.
