Philosophical differences and a deteriorating relationship led to Steve Sarkisian leaving Alabama to become the new offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons, multiple sources have confirmed to SB Nation.

“There was an effort on Saban’s part not to repeat the same problem. This wasn’t going to work out,” a source close to Sarkisian told SB Nation's Steven Godfrey.

The relationship reportedly began to sour after Alabama's loss to Clemson in the national championship game during meetings involving next year's offense.

That's when Saban and Sarkisian agreed it was time to move on and the Crimson Tide's OC began entertaining interests elsewhere.

Or, Stark got a chance to be an OC in the NFL. This isn't hard.

Why would Saban hire an ex head coach and proven offensive coordinator if he won't let the guy run the offense? If he wants a certain type of offense hire a yes man.

Don't think anything would have happened had a job like Atlanta not opened up.

Awesome city. New stadium. Up and coming coach. Not hard to see why he left.

or you're making it more than it is. Sark and Kiff are cut from the same cloth.

He gets to take over one of the most prolific offenses in NFL history almost fully intact. Who wouldn't want that gig?

Let's be honest, I'd rather work with matt ryan and julio than jalen hurts and calvin ridley.

That is so far from the truth. Pussy Kiffin put up with God Saban for what, 3 years? Sark lasted what, 1 month as OC?

He probably told that midget to frick off and grabbed his bottle of Jack on the way out

Yeah this is ridiculous. OC with an NFL team at a place with the offensive talent of Atlanta is a no brained.
