McKinney only has 85 pitches with 1 out in the 8th inning. Fantastic outing for him. Can't believe he's a freshman. We're going to be freaking scary next year.

Double play ends it. McKinney throws a complete game, two hit shutout. Arkansas sweeps!

Gaspard is the John L. Smith of college baseball and you won't see many Alabama fans giving a shite about baseball till he is gone.

I hate when fans say this. Alabama baseball was once really fun to attend. In Jim Well's hey day it was a great atmosphere. It can be there again with the new facility and a reenergized fanbase.
People who never played the game on a competitive level don't have a clue about the sport. Hell, I'm the same way about soccer.

Yeah, don't give me that. I played baseball competitively for years. I started at age 4 and played until I was 14. Even then I still played pick up games with friends throughout high school and college.

I love the sport. It's my second favorite after football. But I have never been a fan of the college game. It is a vastly inferior product to even the minors.

The same could be said for college football. Also, if you actually do know anything about the intricacies of the game, you'd have to agree that folks who don't, usually don't like to watch the game.

Not really.

Some guys prefer playing in facilities nicer than farm leagues and getting a free education on top of that for 2-3 years. Traveling by charter rather than by bus.

Baum is bigger and nicer than the AA park 10 miles away from it. The primary difference in atmosphere is beer.

Way more beer is consumed at Baum.

That's my point.

Baum is nicer, it's always packed. You fly charter, not ride greyhound. You have an indoor facility year round. College Co-eds and 2-3 years of education.
