That and good teams are just playing to Kentucky's advantage by getting out and running, playing man, and just being aggressive.

Columbia for example played a ton of zone and waited until the end of the shot clock to get shots off.

Kentucky this year reminds me of the NBA's Grizzlies.

That's probably fair. I imagine it's hard for a lot of teams to get up for Columbia when they're looking at a stretch of UNC, UCLA, and Louisville too though. I still think they drop one or two in SEC play. But we'll see.

I think Cal will drop one just to keep the pressure of undefeated off. Rick did it and Cal did it with Vandy.

I dk. Cal is the type of guy imo that wants to chase that undefeated season badly.

Honestly, I'd rather drop one and win it all then go undefeated and lose in the tournament. I'm a firm believer of you need to taste that loss just once to never want to taste it again.

Then again, maybe the guys that returned from last season had enough.

You think? I picture him being more of a "all that matters is April" kind of guy.

I can see both sides of it. I can see Cal being ok with a loss but at the same time if it means his name gets etched in the record books and piss everyone off that's ok too.

It's unreal what Cal has done. His only tarnish is that they have only one title. He should have at least 3 right now at UK.
The number of all american's he has brought in, the #1 recruiting classes is insane.

The way he's brought up possibly going undefeated in the past makes me think he'd want to chase it. Wouldn't mind being wrong on that though.

Yeah. The best thing that happened to the 96 team was the loss to Miss State in the SEC tourney. It refocused them on the real prize.

Eh, there's a reason UK only has 8 despite decades of incredible teams. It's not easy even for the best.

Not everybody can be Adolph Rupp or John wooden.

Still think Cal's first team wins it if Meeks stayed in school 1 more year

Sure, but the 2011 team was the best of the final 4, and last year after the season they had, to get to the final and lose was gut wrenching. Should have won both of those games.

Agree wholeheartedly. They missed that knock down shooter at that SG spot.
