Neither OU or Aggy have a schedule as easy as Texas. GA is only challenging opponent Texas will have for two years in a row. No LSU, No Bama, No Ole Miss.
Texas schedule is GA and the current worst teams in the league. Nobody has it any easier.

Texas and TAMU's schedules with common opponents and each other removed:

Georgia
Oklahoma
Kentucky
Vanderbilt

LSU
Mizzou
Auburn
South Carolina

You're telling me TAMU's is more difficult?

Texas doesn't have a second current good team they play. You only play GA.

Aggy plays LSU, Texas.

Just realized they don't play Ole Miss either.

LSU lost 3 games last year and lose their Heisman QB. Georgia has lost twice in 3 seasons. Oklahoma and Missouri are a wash.

I edited my comment above. Still doesn't change the fact that Texas has the easiest schedule in the conference. Only current good team you play two years in a row is Georgia.

LSU will be second best in conference next year. Right behind Georgia.

So basically your argument is that Texas's schedule is easier than TAMU's because Texas gets to play TAMU while TAMU has to play Texas. I'm okay with that.

I'm not arguing between your two schools, just stating Texas has easiest schedule in SEC.

But, if you want to get into specifics- Aggy plays Auburn and Missouri while you play Vandy and Kentucky.

Anybody with half a brain realizes this. They got State, Vandy, and Arkie as well as a down Florida program.

So that is likely four built in victories in an eight game schedule both years.

Kentucky is a win in Austin and I would probably say that Texas will be favored in Lexington.

Then you have the two rivalry games which will be more toss up type games but also games Texas will probably have an edge in talent and experience.

OTOH, as the other new team in the league... OU has one team they are likely clearly better than (South Carolina)... and every other game is at best a toss up for them.

Yeah, OU didn't get the cream puff schedule like Texas did.

Is Texas running the conference already?

If you have to ask.

It is because A&M plays Texas who is good, while Texas plays A&M who is not.

This is almost an obvious sign the schedule format is changing for 2025. UNLESS staying @ 8 & doing 2 year cycles (which is dumb).

This is almost a given sign that the schedule format is changing.

Now, is it possibly 9 games...or maybe change in SEC members?

But can you change SEC members for the 2025 season?

It's ridiculous that Georgia has never had to go to Kyle Field.. and they still aren't in 2024 and 2025. That's 14 years.

TA&M has never been to Kentucky neither.

We have to keep in mind that because Tx sucked so bad from 2012 to 2022 is why they got the creampuff schedule. Here’s the blurb from last year when SEC announced the 24 schedule (which is same in 25 only home/away reversed):

Yep. Same for OM. The opposite for State. State got a harder schedule for having the sixth best record in the SEC from 2012-2022.

Now we are down and really don't need a difficult schedule.

That's why keeping the same teams for 2025 is sucky.
