Why would he openly leave OU just to take 1 year off? Not happening.

Venables is possible. DJ Durkin just became the Maryland coach and is ok. Way too risky for your suicidal fan base. That whole list is shitty except stoops but you're not getting him, just move on from that thought.

Stoops always said he'd retire by the age of 57 because that's when his dad (a HS coach) died en route to the hospital after a game.

Incorrect. Stoops is 57...Ron Stoops Sr was 54 at his time of passing

doesn't know anything about him

apparently you don't either

Gruden and Stoops is not happening.

Chip Kelly is a realistic candidate and will be a home run hire. When you have a team in the Top 5 pretty much every week and compete for the title every year, eventually you will win one.

I wouldn't mind Petrino if Chip Kelly doesn't work out. He's a proven winner just like Chip.

No more "let's try and see if this works out" coaches. No thanks to Tee Martin.

We could put in his contract a new Boss Hoss cycle (made in Dyersburg, TN) every season he gets 10 or more wins.

Just don't know what makes us think we'll hire a name like Kelly or Petrino or anyone like that. Dooley and Butch Jones were our last 2 coaches, for fricks sake. Venable, Martin, Fleck, Brohm...I would expect something along these lines at best.
