That is a little brother kind of move if there ever was one and I would think that the UF program wouldn't have to resort to that. It shows how much LSU is in their head and the level of rivalry they feel for the game.

Very appropriate to recognize the baseball national title at homecoming.
In 1993, A&M recognized their baseball team that went to the CWS at the football season opener...against LSU...who beat A&M in the CWS en route to winning the national title. Less appropriate.

I don't understand why this is supposed to be some sort of gotcha. Florida was the better team. I think most fans knew it would be an uphill battle after losing a starting pitcher. I obviously would have loved to see LSU win another championship, but I'm not all that upset about it. I'm glad Florida finally got one. They deserve it after some of the teams they have had recently. I don't really see this as rubbing it in LSUs face either. The two teams played in the championship, so it makes sense to do it when the two teams play each other in football.

This will be so epic if it backfires on FL....we have done well in Gainesville in recent history, so this took some balls along with announcing Homecoming. Its not like we needed anymore motivation

Your standards for awesomeness are not very high. How is recognizing your national championship team a "frick you"? They deserve to be recognized, and the homecoming game would be a perfect time to do it. The fact that it's against LSU, the team they beat in the finals and probably more than any other school in the country having a fan base that appreciates the value of their accomplishment makes it even better. Did you expect us to be upset by this? I'd wager that the majority of LSU fans in the stadium will applaud the Florida baseball team when this happens.
