Oh yeah, bro. It was BR or bust. We NEVERRRR had any intention of playing in Gainesville, whatsoever. We did not want to play in The Swamp at all Saturday, Sunday, or Monday. You seem oh so informed on the topic.

And as has been explained numerous times, there was no real way of rescheduling for a day or two later at the time because they didn't know what the damage would be. I'm assuming you know what a Cat 5 hurricane can do to an area. Just because the hurricane ended up staying offshore doesn't suddenly make UF a bunch of pansies.

Their police didn't have to focus on anything on Sunday. Or Monday. It's was sunny and beautiful after a single inch of rain and 40 mph winds.

What does this have to do with what the forecast was on Thursday? Which was when a decision had to be made.

But it's really funny watching the low-IQ Alabama fans do mental gymnastics to paint LSU as the villain despite most of the nation thinking otherwise.

Most of the media seemed to side with Sankey and UF from what I could tell, and now they really seem to be turning on LSU after the whining Alleva did (which was nothing but posturing to his easily offended fan base).

It's impossible to reschedule on a day that may or may not have damage? Is that what you're saying?

If you think people are calling Florida pansies for taking precautions because of a hurricane, then you are terribly misinformed on this subject.

It's like this board thinks the Florida frickin' Gators are the first team to deal with a hurricane.

Give me one logical reason why this game couldn't be postponed to Monday evening.

You are aware that, come Saturday morning, if Matthew devastated parts of Florida and the game is logistically impossible, the game could be postponed indefinitely at that point, right?

Not really. Besides Michael Wilbon, that McMurphy douche who's butthurt that LSU fans called him out on Twitter for posting garbage as fact, and a bunch of Florida beat writers.

Did it though? Because LSU offered to fly in Sunday morning if the weather was ok on Saturday evening. And were summarily shot down. For no discernible reason.

Only on the SECr can LSU be trolled for wanting to play a football game.

You call it whining. I call it strength.

Either way I'm happy with the way our "whining" man handled UF into winning their division properly instead of backing into Atlanta.

And yet you fight for an extra home SEC game this year and instead play 5 SEC road games next year

Let's see how you and your new coach feel next year about this position of "strength" that Alleva took so that he could get an extra SEC home game two years in a row. Good luck convincing Herman to pick that schedule over UT's.

Since you seem to be able to justify every damn thing for Florida, please justify LSU giving up a home game for this and playing 3 SEC road games in twelve days.

I'll hang up on your Gump arse now

I really like how this board is painting this as Alleva trying his damn hardest to get an extra SEC game despite his desperation for us to play IN Gainesville this past weekend.

1) Baton Rouge needed this home game and the revenue it brings to local business. Florida isn't the only place to be hit by a natural disaster.

2) Sorry, but I ideologically disagree with a school manipulating a natural disaster in their favor to finagle their way to a back door division win. If maintaining our dignity and not being walked all over by Foley meant giving up next years home game, so be it.

3) We lose a lot of guys next year. This team is still one of the top 5 most talented in the country. And now we've shed the coaching debacle we had before. I don't think we win out, but we're certainly in a better position to do so this year than next.

4) Herman is never in a billion years taking us over UT. That ship has sailed with Strong's situation.
