While shocking, yes, they actually do. Your own LSU Tigers beat them for the national title in 1997 when Bama was under Jim Wells. Now, ever since he's left, the program has gone to shite and Gaspard has been mediocre.

I'll never forget that game. It truly sent the Gorilla Ball era out with a bang. Those two team could hit the damn cover off the ball.

I'm very hopeful we can get the right HC and get back to the old days. It's really fun at the new ballpark when Bama is rolling. Would love to host a regional there.

LSU obviously has a deep rich tradition in baseball that makes it just really fun to watch a game. Would love for Bama to be apart of that.

Well, those days will never come back. I appreciate the small ball, pitching and defense that is necessary today with the different bats and balls plenty, but the Gorilla Ball era was still a lot of fun to watch at the time.

That game was actually right after I graduated. The Warren Morris homer title game was the year before. I was at my girlfriend's (now wife) apartment watching the game. When he hit that homer, the entire city spontaneously combusted. Cars started honking. Everyone came out of their apartments yelling and screaming. It was insane. What a 2 year run.
