Because UF has won two national titles in the last decade and actually had a good season within the past 3 years. 2 down years does not = 6 years of suck. Hell - Uf's bad year of 7 wins is like UT's best season in 6 years... sad...

he was actually ranked ahead of brandon allen on some list i saw lol allen threw for 20 td's and 5 int's last yr so i assumed dobbs actually did something worth a damn but 11 td's and 12 picks is as average as it gets treon threw for 9 and 4 lolz

Logic and common sense do not ring a bell with Vols fans.

I really think some Tennessee fans will go into extreme depression if they lose this year.

I'll read the VolNation melts after the game

Again, past seasons and records have no bearing on this season. I'm not sure how many more times that will have to be said until you grasp it. Which part are you having trouble with. I have no problem explaining what some of those words mean.

You keep saying this like it's some sort of fact. It isn't. Of course last year's results have a bearing on predicting the outcome of this year's game. Both teams have many players in common with the teams last year.

You've also said that it's a fact that Tennessee is a better team in paper than LSU. That isn't a fact. It's an opinion.

Did yall hire Florida's defensive coordinator and I missed it. There's only one other program I know of to show this level of delusion.

And they don't have near the history of ineptitude as UT.

Ending a run of Dominance by the other team in commanding fashion while entering into a run of dominance of their own

Wait--"run of dominance" isn't 1995 the same year we beat the second of 3rd best SEC QB of the 90s like a rented Mule? Or was that 96? Or 97?

Do all Tennessee "runs of dominance" involve the ritual humiliation of a supposed "legend" by another rival?

Also are you guys really rivals with us-- I mean get the Bama thing due to history, but the only real UT rivalry was a brief period in the 90s and the 00s where you lucked into like 4 wins in a 10 year period, outside of that its not really all that competitive a series, Vandy seems like a more UT-sized rivalry.

you all have maybe a total of 6 players TOPS that would crack the starting rotation. I can think of these

Sharpe
Ivie
Anzalone
VH3
Neal
Robinson

That's it.

Last year, a true freshman QB entered the game in the 4th quarter for his first extended play time in front of a packed house and facing a 2 score deficit, we still won-- that guy likely wont even start this season.

I guess what I'm saying is, I'm not hugely impressed by UT's performance against an extremely weak back third of the season, and expect a relatively easy win vs. a Vols squad coming off a blowout loss to Oklahoma.

The thing is, we are the ONLY team in the SEC East that is tending upwards. This is going to be a long season for tRant. Vols are coming in fast and are here to stay

Wait- how are you trending upward if Florida isn't-- we've gotten rid of the dead weight at HC, improved our coaching on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball and won more games than the previous year-- by what metric is UT trending upward and Florida not?

Wow, so if we win this year, then Mac must be like a coaching legend, or Butch should be fired on the spot.

If he would have played the whole year (he played 6/13 games) at the pace he averaged, he would have had about 2700 yards passing, about 1000 yards rushing, and about 37 TD's accounted for. That seems to be a little better than average.

Didn't h put those numbers up against basically the worse defenses you played + Bama in prevent?

No, your team was good. Your coach was terrible.

Now your team is not that good and your coach is only marginally less terrible and will not have all the kinks worked out by the team we play.

How exactly did Tennessee magically somehow become more talented than Florida from the last time we played to this year? What makes Florida so much worse and Tennessee so much better? Florida lost Matt Jones on offense and Dante Fowler on defense. Other than that, they are the same talented team that beat Tennessee in Knoxville last year with a true freshman coming off the bench. But by all means, keep buying the fake hype your coach is pumping into your program.
