First schedule thread of the offseason? Remember how terrible it was that LSU had to play Florida last season? Schedule threads in the offseason are fricking dumb

Auburn fan brings up schedule Bama fan brings up LSU! Obsession noted

No he doesn't, I myself along with thousands of LSU fans, would be pissed if UF was taken off our schedule. So I see no point what so ever

I don't understand how they can rank SOS at this time. The teams are not the same as last year.

It gives message boards and radio hosts something to do.

The method is obvious, the meaning is pointless and almost always false.

Look at Auburn and Notre Dame in similar formulas this time last year. These things are designed to pass time and give LSU fans something to whine about.

Standard SECr logic. If a couple of posters say something then it is automatically true for the entire fanbase.

well this isn't about playing a team you like, this is about how hard your opponents are. LSU fans complained bc they had to play Florida last year, and Florida sucked.

so he was making the point, since this is an SOS thread, that right now SOS rankings are pointless

I would never defend a bama fan on this unless they were right

I think you misunderstand, UF is not going to suck long where as Tennessee will continue the hot garbage tradition for the foreseeable future.

i know we all carry on about schedules. but, if you can get to the ncg with fsu's schedule. and be one win away from the ncg, see tosu's schedule. then i dont think anyone has much to worry about, as far as schedules are concerned. we seem to be reverting back to the glory days of nebraska and oklahoma. where a tough schedule meant you had 2 competitive games on schedule, then the national championship was within grasp in your bowl game.

but then, this is 2014, in comes the playoff (woohoo) and i for one wont be surprised if sos is used against the sec, more than other conferences. after all, the whole point of a committee, is to keep the sec from placing more than one team in the playoff, imo. otherwise, they would just take the top 4 ranked teams and there would be no selection committee.

Last year ours was ranked toughest and toughest back to back stretch and then Auburn and Mizzou decided to get good and our schedule went from something like 'toughest current/modern schedule' to 'are you fricking kidding me?!' Unfortunately, we didn't have any console cheats nor any means of engaging 'god mode.'

But with our schedule I'm not sure 'god mode' would've helped.

Ole Miss will have their best year in two decades due to them rotating onto Tennessee's schedule this year.

But the SEC gives Bama easier SEC schedules than LSU.

Hell naw! Y'all can keep that shite. I'd rather just win for the time being.

Also, we may not know how these teams are gonna be this year, but last year UT pretty much had the consensus toughest schedule on paper, and is anybody gonna argue that?

They got screwed with that.

What makes you say that, we recruited just as good as them this year and I'd much rather have our staff then Mushchamps.

Looking at the non-conference slate
quote:

1) Tennessee 69% (36-16)
2) South Carolina 67% (35-17)
3) Georgia 67% (34-17)
4) Missouri 65% (33-18)
5) Kentucky 64% (32-18)

SEC East gets after it
quote:

12) Florida 38% (19-31)

Must be playing some real chumps, seeing as FSU was 14-0
quote:

14) Alabama 27% (13-35)

It has been the trend and I would be shocked if one year of recruiting had that big of an immediate impact. Maybe two years from now but not in a year
