Missouri wasn't anywhere near as bad of a team as they showed in that game and they deserve a lot of credit for winning out. UGA was in a somewhat similar situation in 2011 after starting the year 0-2.

I think 2014 was one of Richt's best teams yet maybe his most disappointing because they had absolutely nothing to show for it.

2012 and 2014. Richt's two best teams that have nothing to show for it.

I remember the James Franklin game. We still won 41-26 between the hedges

We won the East as well

We politely returned the favor the next year.

Georgia/Missouri 2014 was a game that simply defied logic. MIZZOU actually enjoyed a BYE WEEK ADVANTAGE, and had the HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE, and had the game had all the trappings of a Yankee Tiger rout. How Georgia dominated is anyone's guess

Because Georgia had a better team with more talent and for one of the few times in the Richt era, they played angry. Missouri never crossed the 34 yard line and had less than 150 yards of offense.

Georgia still can't get over the amount of success we have in the conference compared to them.

You mean your stellar conference record since joining?
Or how bout the fact that you've beat ONE SEC team with a winning conference record in 5 years.

You're 1-4 vs UGA since joining and now have been surpassed by UK in the SECe hierarchy.
And we can't "get over your success"Is this really how you define success?

The UGA game was really just Mauk throwing ducks all over the field. If i recall Chubb only had like 130 hards on 30+ carries. The 2013 and 2014 Mizzou defenses were legit. The Auburn SECCG disaster was all coaching.

That was the angriest Georgia team I've ever seen step on a football field. They were pissed about the Gurley stuff and people saying they had no shot without him. Missouri just happened to be the poor team who was on the other side that day.

Georgia would have beaten the hell out of anyone not named Alabama that day.

Then you guys got stomped by Florida (a team we destroyed).

UF outgained you 283 to 119 and had 6 turnovers and you scored all of one offensive TD

Congrats on your special teams superiority that night.

I'll concede the fact that Missouri's season was ultimately more successful because they made it to the SEC championship game.

However, UGA did finish #9 in the final AP poll compared to #14 for Missouri. They also played a tougher schedule and beat four top 25 opponents by an average of 27 points. Missouri did not beat one team in the final top 25.

Good points and I can agree that UGA was more talented and in many ways a superior team. The Rantards that run out just that one game as proof is what I disagree with.
