Damn, I also forgot that AU plays San Jose State, who isn't a cupcake. Not to mention that AU has top open with a SEC team. Pretty sure they are trying to murder Auburn.

Meh, we are used to it. We have pretty much played the toughest schedule in the SEC for the majority of the past 35 years so fine.

We should be pretty good in 2014 as well so might as well cause some problems for the top teams.

Question for Bama fans: is that 3rd October weekend where Ags travel to Bama not the usual Bama v Tenn weekend?

Or does that game happen on random weekends?

Ours isn't as bad as it is this season.

But, raise your hand if you play at Oklahoma.

Historically, but the past 10-15 years Alabama-Tennessee has been on the 4th Saturday. We've played Ole Miss more on the 3rd lately than Tennessee.

1 UF
2. Auburn
3. Bama
4. LSU
5. USC

6. UGA

Why would LSU be 2? They play the same SEC teams as Bama only they get UK and Bama gets UT. They only way I see that is if you count Bama as much harder for LSU than LSU for Bama.
Still ticked about not getting the Dawgs!

The schedules are going to ebb and flow. Next year will be a difficult year but nothing to get upset about.

Because LSU plays Wisconsin which is good enough to beat Arkansas and Bama plays West Virginia which is good enough to embarrass the conference by beating Auburn and Georgia. Because Auburn was down when that happened and Georgia routinely embarrasses the conference OOC (Boise, Colorado, WVU), LSU gets the nod.

Not trying to help an Alabama fan...but you also have OOC foe West Virginia. While not entirely scary, they are tougher than LSU's OOC foes.

Whoops! Did not notice Wisconsin. Yep. LSU's schedule would be tougher. My apologies to LSU fans.

Also, you have to take into account the home and away alignments. LSU is at Aggy. Depending on the Manziel situation, at Aggy might be irrelevant, but going on what we know now, that's a big deal.

The difference is that AU plays Kansas State and Texas A&M, whilst Florida only has to play Florida State

Kansas State isn't even ranked this year and no indication they will be next year. FSU is almost a certainty to be a top 15 opponent. And South Carolina at least equals A&M.

2014 will be an interesting year, Muschamp should have everything in order and the team looks like it will be stacked.

Not really. They could fall back to cupcake status in 2014, but right now they are not. I would have bet on them beating Auburn, Arkansas, Kentucky, or Tennessee last year.

Preseason rankings are meaningless. Look at how well Kansas State has done the past couple of seasons compared to Florida State. It's no secret that Florida State gathers a lot more hype at the beginning of each season. There's no way of telling how good Kansas State will be, but it'd be a safe bet to assume they will be pretty good.

AU plays South Carolina as well. What I am saying is: Texas A&M + Kansas State > Florida State. (Not to mention the SEC West being tougher overall.)

Pretty sure Bama is at LSU in 2014. If not, there would be about 50 threads already about Bama getting LSU at home two years in a row.
