In keeping with the general theme of the thread, I'll choose Leonard Floyd since he's UGA's best defensive player.

I think Hargreaves is the best defensive player in the conference, though.

I expecting very, very big things from our OLBs this year. Floyd and Jenkins should wreak havoc.

Floyd is gonna be good

My pick for someone who will turn heads in Bama's D this year

"The New 57" DJ Pettway

DePriest will have a lot of tackles as well but Pettway will be primarily a pass rusher

If Jenkins can step up opposite Floyd, it would go a long way toward masking likely growing pains in the secondary.

He's a DL.

One of the guys that might be in the Pruitt doghouse. Apparently when Pruitt showed up he was unhappy with some of the weight gained and lack of effort. I don't think anyone really knows where he stands right now but he should be a factor. Our best defender is by far Leonard Floyd.

All of this. I agree with it.

Also, don't sleep on Ramik Wilson. He's not a physical freak like a lot of these guys but he's going to be at the top of defenders in tackles and is projected as a first rounder in multiple mocks I've seen. Just a dark horse to consider in all of this.

But Floyd is our best bet.

Rashard Robinson will not get noticed because nobody will throw his way.

He probably won't win Player of the Year, but Chris Jones is an absolute STUD. He was the most impressive DL vs. LSU last year.

I'd think Jon Allen would have a better chance than Pettway.

It was a tough decision between Tony and John Youngblood, but Youngbloods hair is what won it.

To be honest, I don't expect Conner to be in DPOY discussion this year. Husky doesn't draw a lot of shiny stats(mostly speaking of INTs) and with Prewitt who is a ballhawk, it'll be tough to get his name out there for awards. Prewitt had 7 INTs last year and dropped another wide open 7. There is no reason Prewitt should not have had double digit INTs last year.

Conner's time is coming though

One thing we can all agree on that the SEC is stacked with stud defensive players, the rest of the conference's is fricked!!
