I'm curious to see how much we use his running abilities this year.

Florida State had a better defense than Bama

Bama was really lucky that Marshall missed on that bomb during the opening drive.

Why? Y'all still went up 7-0 on Marshall's long run a few minutes later. There was luck (good & bad) on both sides.

The amazing thing to me is how much Bama looked to be playing scared for that first quarter and how AU was the aggressor....despite the fact that UA plays in 1-2 games of that magnitude every year.

Nick Marshall is so explosive.

He's like a RB, he shifts gears as he runs and once he reaches the 2nd level it's a wrap

b/c 7-0 is not as good as 14-0?

I thought it was all she wrote after the 99 yard touchdown pass. AJ was going to win the Heisman and Bama was gonna threepeat.

I've never been so on edge watching a non LSU game, what an incredible atmosphere in Jordan Hare that night

"Of that magnitude"

Alabama has played in championship games and some really big regular season games, yet Auburn looked like the team more comfortable in that setting on that day. That's kind of my point and it's a credit to Auburn.

The annoying Auburn fans in this thread plus AU Tiger in Miami are the reason it was so satisfying to watch AU lose the national championship in the final seconds this year, despite how annoying FSU is.

After the UGA game, I was pleased with Gus's ability to calm the players down and have them so tuned into this game.

I don't know if I can stand the intensity of this game on a yearly basis but I think that's what we have to look forward too

I don't know about that.

Auburn had 449 yards vs FSU and 393 vs Alabama. Auburn scored four TSA against both but because of some strange play call by Auburn they had to settle for a FG instead of a TV against FSU.

The IB was a slug fest, Auburn was about to run away with the NCG until the fake punt. You never thought that about the IB.

Alabama was better than FSU on both sides of the ball.

I think as the game went on, Auburn became more confident that they could win while Alabama began to doubt themselves

Yeah, I think the score at the end of the half was a confidence builder for our guys.
