Thanks so much for the advice. I took a short breather and watched THIS.

Pathetic. You don't see Alabama fans clinging to Bear Bryant's dominance over LSU.

I caught wind of a good bit of that rhetoric from 2000-2005.

quote:

2007 Alabama lost 6 games and had others forfeited. 2010 Alabama lost 3 games and the LSU loss was the least. 2011 Alabama defeated LSU's most impressive team of all time to the tune of 21-0. Contrast that with 2012 and 2013 Alabama costing LSU the division. 2007 LSU had to defeat Alabama, or they weren't going anywhere.

Did you really have to make excuses for each loss?

Yeah the BCSCG sucked. It was tough to watch. Bama fans will talk trash because they're on top right now and I'd do the same if the roles were reversed. Saban won't be at Bama forever though so things will level out. Bama caught a break by getting the rematch and now with a playoff, you may see more rematches. LSU will be fine. I still say Bama was better than LSU in 2011, but they probably weren't 21-0 better. That type of game was an anamoly.

I'm sorry sir, I have no idea what you are bloviating about there.

Sounds like it's already been ruined by the looks of the work you're having to put in.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't watch those highlights at least once every 6 months. I like to mix in the Texas and Notre Dame games in too from time to time. Some great history, and l won't take for granted the dynasty Bama is running right now. You'd do the same.

I think 2011 Alabama and 2007 LSU's national championships are even. Let's not forget that LSU got lucky and didn't have to play USC in 2003. Are you one of the fans who'd rather have played Oklahoma State for an easy win? Last but not least, there's LSU's 1959 national championship. Congrats on beating the #12 ranked team in your bowl game.

I'd like to say LSU fans wouldn't be the intolerable douchebags that Bama fans have been under saban, but I'd be being dishonest.

Apparently they were, considering that's what the scoreboard says. It could've been 28-0 if Nick Saban decided to let running backs loose again.

It's pretty sad how y'all cling to this as some type of consolation prize. Both teams were aware the game was taking place. It isn't like bama had a month to prepare and lsu was kidnapped from their dorms, blindfolded, and driven to the superdome for a surprise party.

9-6 was the anomaly.

Not even flaming but do you seriously have to ask if we would rather lose to a rival for a championship or win against a lesser team?

Not really but ok. Whether you admit it or not y'all had a hard time scoring that lone TD.

Not really, LSU won its division and conference. Didn't get in over anyone else more deserving, either.

Luckier than USC who got to play Michigan?

Didn't hear a single Alabama fan complain about the Notre Dame layup.

Don't go into how other programs have won and claimed championships.

It's basic psychology. There's a reason teams who won the first game don't often win rematches in college football history.

No. In 2007, we won our division & conference title.

I do find it ironic that Bama fans take everything saban says as gospel except that part where he said "if you don't win your conference, you shouldn't play for a national championship."

You got lucky. So did we. Don't give me the bull shite about the conference title, we all know Bama was the best team in the country, and if not they were 2nd best and DESERVED a shot at the title. But let it go brother, it will be best if you can just let it go. It was the final nail in the coffin, and that's hard to swallow, but it's the truth. Saban will be gone from Bama in 5 years max, maybe 3, and you can have a shot then. But just let it go.

Because Saban never said that. It was proven as a hoax.
