I have a degree from Texas and am close with a ton of their boosters. Nick and Bama didn't just beat them, he injured their program and their psyche.

I think LSU and Miles are mentally tougher, but theoretically the potential is there.

Texas players left in droves, 5* QBs flamed out, coordinators left or were fired, all in one year after the stomping by Saban's Bama Defense.

If the NC game were closer, this would be a non-issue ...

Urban Myer turned into a whimp after whipped his are in Atlanta. Tebow left then a year later he left. I' ve always believed that he saw Saban and Miles as future threats....

Probably not the most opportune time to post this, but it is a legit, and terrifying possibility.

We'll return what is likely as good of a team all around, with a vast improvement at qb. But, if some of these guys go into next season with the defeated attitude they had during this game................it could be a long year.

I think it's a bit different though, as we were forced to play the same team twice. It's kinda hard to get motivated for that.

Thank the sweet Lord.

Mildly concerning, but it's still fresh and depth will save us from attrition.

This is true every year. We did pretty good this year, and the Miles hate was strong this past off season. It's an LSU fan birth right to hate anything less than perfection, and to sometimes hate perfection if it wasn't done the way you preferred.

Probably touted as a top 1 team

LSU losing their starting QB is actually a positive. If Mett turns out to be just an average QB, they will still run away with the SEC title and probably the national championship.

If looking at it objectively it seems Texas was in better shape headed into 2010 but nobody foresaw them going 5-7 and firing coaches by years end

Losing McCoy is totally comparable to losing JJ.

While it may have looked that way at the time, the warning signs were there in the form of bad OL/RB recruiting, bad OL coaching, and terrible (really terrible) SC...McCoy was able to mask some of those issues while he was there. Gilbert could not and of course turned out to be an epic bust (not saying it's all his fault either).

I think LSU is in better shape and it's not even close.

After ending one of the worst stretches of QB play that LSU has had.

LSU will have a MUCH better QB next year, and should have an EXPLOSIVE offense IF and this is a Big IF, CLM turns them loose.

I think the difference is the head coach, honestly, and that bodes well for y'all.

Mack just sort of strikes me as the out-of-touch, senile grandfatherly type who, while he can encourage his team, doesn't know how to buck them up when serious adversity hits.

I think Les will do just fine, honestly.

I think we'll be fine, personally, with another rout of the SEC and a couple of championships highly likely.

But, I don't recall ever seeing Les look as defeated as he did standing on the sideline Monday night, or in the press conference after.
