Ouch, sounds like someone got their feelings hurt and is going to tell the teacher.

just because you have players coming back doesn't = better with the same bad players

Space,
you are right that there is no guarantee that they'll be better just because they have a year under their belts, but in this case, you are wrong. Do you have any idea how many true freshman Auburn had on the field last year? First off, year 2 for true freshman is almost always the biggest jump in performance...secondly, the vast majority of these players haven't had a year of off season strength and conditioning...and if you don't think BVG is a big upgrade over Ted Roof, there is no need to discuss further.

on offense au will slide without Gus, dyer and without an qb with talent/experience.

Fair enough...I can't really dispute this because I have no idea who the new OC will be. Chiz whiffed on Ted Roof and who knows, he might whiff again on the OC hire. Losing Dyer will hurt but we are stacked at RB...much like you guys are saying it isn't going to hurt you guys too much to lose TR (who is far better than Dyer), we also have literally 5 guys with top tier talent back there: O Mac, Mason, Blakely, Grant and Robinson.

You saw how ineffective Gus's offense was this past year with 1. Poor O-line play 2. Poor QB play. Like a ton of other guys that played for AU in 2011, Frazier didn't have a Spring under his belt. He didn't know the playbook. He will be much better prepared this next season. Will he be the next great AU quarterback or even have a decent season or even be the starter? Who knows...what we do know is that 1. He has the raw talent to do it. 2. He will be MUCH better prepared and have a much better chance next year.

O-Line...losing Mosely hurts, but losing AJ Green..we'll be fine. Here's whose being added to the line: Greg Robinson, Christian Westerman, Thomas O'Reilly, Patrick Miller, Shane Callahan and perhaps another stud or 2. Plus, center Reese Dismukes was yet another Auburn player that had no off-season strength and conditioning and no spring...he has a year under his belt and will have both of the above prior to the season this year.

Plus, Auburn has a much more favorable schedule. If you don't expect a better season from Auburn this year, you are going to be disappointed. Are they ready to challenge for the SEC in 2012? No. 2013? Almost certainly.

SpaceWrangler all you need to know about Ted Roof vs any other DC is that Darren Bates actually used his arms during a tackle in the Peach Bowl
