Sure it has happened way back when conferences were not in existence.

Of the current existing conferences the SEC is the second oldest forming in 1933. The Big Ten formed in 1896.

Conferences are not a new thing. In LSU's 119 year history they've only been Independent 3 of those years.

To refute your statement - 1936 Minnesota did it.

It's not the first time for Alabama.

Alabama claims the 1941 National Championship as one of their "14" -
The AP ranked Alabama 20th in the nation. Alabama finished 3rd in the SEC that year. Mississippi State won the SEC title.

Both were skull dragged all over the field.

Pretty amazing if the LSU fans think this is one of the worst Bama NC teams, even though they skullfricked the greatest LSU team.

When you're talking the BCS Championship, then Conference affiliation means nothing. It's a formula. OKST wins that game, the formula is completely different. But it being a Big 12 game meant nothing. Every game affects the computers, but whether it's a conference game doesn't matter. Being a conference champ only means something to the BCS if your not a 1 or 2.

That being said, if OKST wins out, then Bama is #3. But that didn't happen, and in the end 1 played 2 and unfortunately for us, 1 lost. The whole process is to set up 1 vs 2, or 2 vs 1.

Bama gets full credit for winning the BCSNCG. They won the game they had to win and got to take home the glass ball.

Winning the SEC Championship in and of itself if probably the second hardest (or maybe hardest in certain years when an SEC team is not in the BCSNCG) thing to to in college football. LSU should be proud of the achievement.

Bama = BCS Champs
LSU = SEC Champs
those are the facts

Also, a team that does not win their division or conference championship does not belong in the NC game, especially when the division champs and conference champs already beat them...........

Come on LSU fans, you're better than that. If Bama had lost you would have been saying what a great team we are, but you were better, because it would make you look good to beat a really great team.
From the outcome and plays on the field that night, it looks like LSU is the one that didn't deserve to be there.
Forwhat ever reason, LSU didn't play their usual game. I don't know if we confused them, or it was something else, but be man enough to accept the loss. Quit saying we didn't deserve to be there, it's a little too late for that. We were there,, and it was a great game 21-0.

Just goes to show the world that any team can beat any other team on any day. Ms. State could have beat LSU that day.

look that up and see if that has ever happened.....

If LSU was good enough to make it to the NC then they should not have gotten blown the frick out.
