remember Saban being really frustrated the entire week leading up to this game. Could tell it had been a bad week of preparation, plus the game was on a Friday. I believe Auburn was coming off a bye too.

Great game. I was there with my son who was 10 at the time. It was his first Iron Bowl. Was really hoping we could have pulled the game out. Would have been a fantastic thing for him to have seen.
Both teams played great. I dont really think either played better than the other. Our defense was very thin then and most of our guys played the entire game. They just ran out of gas at the end and Bama was a little deeper.
Great game for the rivalry and I was proud of the way our guys played even though we didn't have enough to win.

That depends, do you pull for those schools in addition to AU or b/c they were playing UA in the ship'?
