fricking Miracle on Markham

We held Matt Jones to like 65 yards passing for 58 minutes, then he goes for like 70 with 2 passes at the end.

I guess it was a blessing in disguise because we would have gotten skull dragged by UGA.

Was a crazy year for sure. We got dominated by Va Tech to start the year. We rattled off like 5 or 6 straight. Dominated UF for the first time in ages, but lost Mauck which really killed us. Embarrassing blowouts to Auburn and Bama. Oh yeah and the Bluegrass Miracle

6'6" and ran a 4.37 at the combine. Dude would have been unstoppable if he gave a single shite.

Holy shite, I had no idea. He never looked that fast on the field. I thought he became a WR more for the "jump ball" aspect of it.

So he was Stephen Garcia before we had a Stephen Garcia.

Yep. Almost 40 inch vert as well.

LINK

He always looked slow until you saw him start pulling away from d-backs.

An Alabama vs. UGA rematch in the SEC title game would have been a great match up, they played a great game earlier in Tuscaloosa that year that came down to the last minute.

Alabama got gifted an SEC title game appearance thanks to probation in 93 and screwed out of one in 02 because it, so I guess it all evens out in the end.

He was also the QB in the 2 longest college football games in NCAA history. Both games going to 7 overtimes.

On a side note, I remember 2002 UF like it was yesterday. Went 5-0 against the east, ended Georgia's national championship dreams, 1-2 against the west (that win was against Auburn and its actually the last time we beat them) for an overall record of 6-2 in the SEC. Then had an exciting game against Michigan in the Outback Bowl that ended with the biggest WTF playcall I ever seen before. Then Zook signed Leak and the #1 recruiting class during the offseason. I actually thought this Zook dude aint that bad. Lil did I know.

Matt Jones' huge stride made him deceptively fast. Dude could cover a lot of ground.

I remember that 2002 Arky-LSU game, I skipped going hunting that afternoon so that I could watch that game.

Ironically everytime I skipped going hunting to watch the game on tv LSU has lost. 2002, 2007, 2008, and 2010.

Which just goes to show you how much better of a program Alabama is than LSU. At LSU, when Saban had a bad game, he'd get blown the eff out. At Alabama, when Saban has a bad game, he loses on a fluke return for a touchdown.

boom, exactly

If we had taken care of business in Jacksonville we probably would have played Miami for the national title

Or we would be like 2004 Auburn

Either way OSU had a horseshoe up their arse that season

It would've been interesting because y'all were ahead of Ohio State in one poll but behind them in the other one.
