Ahhhh, the good ole days, when I could circle Alabama as a win before the season

Used to be able to circle everyone except Florida as a win.

When did it hit bottom, and where on that path does 2007 fall?

Nope, you had the better individuals but we had the better team

Y'all only won because of it being a mulligan for LSU (since they beat y'all earlier). Right?

07 UT was weird. They finished #12 and only lost by 7 to LSU in the SECCG...but those losses to Alabama and Florida were OOGLY.

Dooley was the bottom. It's a small miracle that we've never lost 8 games in our program's history.

2007 was a good year, but it was like a government stimulus package, but instead of cash injections we got a David Cutcliff injection that didn’t fix the problem, it just temporarily stopped the bleeding.

FWIW, I do have a soft spot for UT. No team should have to go through what happened to yall (twice) in 2010.

Only thing I can think of worse is 2011 for LSU.

I sometimes wonder what might have been if Mike Hamilton would have made the safe hire after Kiffin left and gone with Cutcliff.

It wouldn't have been popular, but neither was Dooley, and Cutcliff certainly wouldn't have run the program into the ground.

That's akin to Alabama keeping Franchione all these years. Alabama would be Georgia. Solid every year, with an occasional run, but never reaching the heights we have under Saban. The headache of Fran leaving, Price boozing, and Shula losing was worth it.

I'm gonna take your word for it, since Bama fans have lived through similar hard times and rose like a Phoenix from the ashes.

I got to point and laugh at all the bandwagons jumping back on the trail during the 2008 season.

Your new hc didn't go 0-2 against Muschamp though.

Meh. That's not really the point. Tennessee will be back one way or another. Maybe it's not Butch Jones, maybe it is.

I'm sure I'll get to do that soon. Bama may have bandwagon jumpers, but they pale in comparison to Florida.

No fans on the planet are as fair weather as gator fans.
