CFB will also have helmet communication for all of FBS, as well as sideline tablets.

I don't understand how this helps the no-huddle offense.. how does a QB communicate the play to the rest of the team without signals of some kind.. which of course will be learned and then stolen?

* unless a team is willing to huddle on every play

It's only a matter of time before they start penalizing home teams for "excessive noise".

Here it comes it just be a matter time when they destroy college athletics to create minor league nfl. And whenever that happens won't be watching anymore college football or basketball.

This won't change anything for Tennessee.

They tried that back in the eighties or nineties. I remember them penalizing UT a timeout for crowd noise.

What did the ornery, NCAA hating fans do? Yelled LOUDER the next play.

No more penalties, game over. Tennessee kicked the NCAA in the teeth yet again.

They tried that before, didn't work out well.

So is the helmet comms gonna look like the NFL model or the way they do it in the spring football league the UFL? Big difference between the 2.

Not a fan. Don’t like headsets in NFL and less in college. The more technology involved, the more it becomes a video game. Let’s just have coaches play the game on Madden. QBs calling plays were once part of the game.

MLB has moved to technology calling pitches. Movement to introduce technology calling balls and strikes. Catcher signs, umpire zone were part of the game.

My enthusiasm for all sports seems to decline each year as new technology or rules are introduced.

Let’s just let teams compete and settle it on the field minus the technology.

On another note. I watched some old clips of nfl and college games. Announcing was so much better. Todays telecasts are so bad. Don’t call the game, talk over the game with their personal opinions. I would love to never see another Nexgen stat.

I am kinda meh on the pitcher/catcher comms system replacing signs. At the end of the day, it was introduced to eliminate those situations where signs get crossed, and the pitcher and catcher have to get off the mound and get on the same page that slow down the game. It wasn't introduced to take away the skill/art of signals.

But electronic strike zones are an absolute must. Imagine a basketball player shooting a jumper, it swishing, but the ref says it didn't go in the hoop. That is happens in baseball when a pitcher throws a strike and it is called a ball by some retard like Angel Hernandez.

Angels games were always interesting. I get your point but for me more technology takes away from the game itself. Cardinals would have won another World Series but not sure I would have enjoyed as much with todays technology.
