Listen, if 21 degrees and a 70% chance of freezing rain and snow on Friday don’t scream baseball I don’t know what your problem is.

I can’t imagine why Mizzou isn’t a baseball hotbed for recruits or fans.

You can blame the excessive amount of butt pirates in Missouri

You sound like you know the right amount. I've always considered one butt pirate to be too many, but dildos know their butt piracy, so I defer to you.

Friday forecast for Gainesville

74 and cloudy, winds 6 mph out of the West. I love February baseball!

Another reason we should only have Southern schools in the SEC.

Their overall losing SEC record is really bad.

Since COVID, in SEC play they have gone...

8-22
10-20
10-20

I see why they are so excited

Or win the sec, or win a national title in football.

Not a fit.

Missouri's problem with baseball is that they have one of the most storied pro baseball franchises in history. The St. Louis Cardinals suck a lot of air out of the room. And on the other side of the state you have the Kansas City Royals.

It isn't that Missouri doesn't love baseball, they do, it is that the pie isn't quite big enough for everyone.

A much larger, in terms of population, state could have two pro teams and spare enough for a thriving college fan base for baseball. If you don't have the fans you don't have the dollars, if you don't have the dollars, you don't have the players.

Truth. We need a disco demolition night, like the White Sox did in the 70s,, but substitute Taylor Swift albums for the Bee-Gees. I'd attend.

I don’t buy this. Even the best attended programs are only putting around 10k in the stands. There aren’t large swaths of people driving from Little Rock, Shreveport, Biloxi, etc on a weekly basis to attend games for those teams. Mizzou should be able to pull 10k on the weekends from the Columbia/Jeff City area. They just have not chosen to invest in the program for whatever reason. You have to change the internal mindset and the fans will eventually come.

But they did sweep the Vols last year.

No wonder Arky fans are mad with being stuck with them as a permanent baseball conference opponent. Missouri doesn't even care about baseball
