Was aggy's nonconference schedule too tough such that Myles Garrett couldn't make 1st team?

Fair enough. Adams really stuck out to me this past weekend.

They have a very good defensive line all around.

A. Key, M. Adams, T. Williams, R. Anderson, J. Allen, D. Barnett, Garrett, D. Hall, M. Haynes, C. Harris are all elite players. Crazy the talent.

SEC is DL and LB rich, and set for a few years in those departments.

His production on a per game basis puts him around the same in the league in most meaningful categories. That's what LSU and Tennessee fans call being Chavis'd.

Not saying Carlson wouldn't deserve it, But don't sleep on Gary Wonderlich. He's 19-20 on FG's this year.

Good kicker but doesnt seem like they trust him from deep. Only 1 kick from 50+ this year and last combined (and missed).

No made FGs beyond 49 yards this year. 3 from 40-49. Carlson has made 4 from 40-49 and 3 from 50+.

I don't really care either way but he got hurt against Arkansas and has sat 2 times since then and been playing hurt all the other games. Pre-injury he had 3 sacks and 5 TFL in 4 games.

LB and DL have to be the hardest to pick. So much talent throughout the league.

Yep - probably 12-13 DL and 8-9 LBs who would easily be deserving.

Also, who the frick could've possibly predicted this? Fournette, Chubb and Hurd have all fallen short of expecta
What we his expectations? He's never averaged more than 5 ypc for a season.

He sucks and has always sucked.

He didn't play well against LSU, but he's still the best TE in the SEC from a statistical standpoint.

Did Fournette play against Bama? He must have been out with an injury.

Either Allen or Kelly would work. Hurts is simply not the best qb in the SEC. Not yet at least.

Maybe not, but with Kelly now sidelined he does/will have the best all around stats.

Passer rating, Total Yards, Total TDs, etc.

He's lead his team to an undefeated record with a win over what I think to be the fourth or fifth best team in the country, LSU, on the road. Also his stats are slightly better than Allen's. Stats below borrowed from Triple Dave earlier, just to give full credit.

Quarterback Stats

Passing Yards Per Game vs P5
1. Chad Kelly - 325
2. Austin Allen - 266
3. Drew Lock - 240
4. Josh Dobbs - 216
5. Jalen Hurts - 198

Passer Rating vs P5
1. Jalen Hurts (144.85)
2. Chad Kelly (143.23)
3. Josh Dobbs (136.95)
4. Austin Allen (134.20)

Total Offense (YPG) vs P5
1. Chad Kelly (375)
2. Jalen Hurts (280)
3. Josh Dobbs (275)
4. Trevor Knight (266)
5. Austin Allen (255)

Total Yards Per Attempt vs P5
1. Chad Kelly - 8.3
2. Jalen Hurts - 7.9
3. Austin Allen - 7.8
3. Josh Dobbs - 7.8
5. Sean White - 7.3

Total TDs
1. Josh Dobbs (28)
2. Jalen Hurts (27)
3. Drew Lock (24)
3. Chad Kelly (24)
5. Trevor Knight (23)

Passer

Maybe, but I noticed you included Eddie Jackson who is injured. I know without a doubt that Kelly was the best qb in the sec this year, and Allen a close second. Stats or no stats those two are probably the only two who have a real shot in the nfl. Hurts might if he improves in the passing game. No offense MSU fans, but throwing on them was like throwing against air.

Because nobody is going to catch him in punt return stats. There wasn't a close 2nd. If somebody did, they'd probably get the nod.

I agree - he was the best - there is no debate. Great passer and ran well.

Allen a close second

Allen was a very good passer who contributed nothing with his legs. So, if this is solely based on passing performance, then yes. Hurts will have added about 1,000 rushing and 11-12 TDs with his legs in addition to his passing, and his passing has been Top 3-4 in the league.

I don't really have a strong opinion on it, but I don't think it's crazy for Hurts to be mentioned in the Top 3.

I can't help but notice you've been mispelling Dobbs in your comments
