Several scouts in attendance, when I picked up my credentials there was a guy from the Suns and a guy from the Knicks getting theirs. But there was also a pretty big stack of them that hadn't been picked up yet.

Crowds were in the 5-6K range to start the year.

13K at the Charlotte and the Texas Southern games. almost 12K against Savannah St.

It wasn't 13 at Charlotte, it felt empty. The Tech game was like watching Siloam v Gravette play in BWA in terms of crowd. When students come back in force Monday will be the best time to judge.

It's a fricking shame that nobody cares in general public to buy walk ups lately.

Because good programs have fans I'm guessing. A basketball ticket was a golden ticket in 80's-90's except for Nolan's first year, where a lot of people resented his choice. I remember people thinking Bill Brown was the better choice. I was in jr high and didn't like Nolan initially, because nobody really knew how bad Yvonne situation was and couldn't understand why he wasn't at all games. I remember Stoglin coaching games, looking lost.

Stoglin was tailor made for the SWAC. I couldn't see him as a head coach anywhere outside of the SWAC

What you know about Mississippi HS basketball?

I played in the mini dome at South Pike against them back in HS.

I watched Ladner and his new school Oak Grove play Petal last night. His guys get after it defensively.

That's what he coaches and that's what his daddy coached also.

It's also how I know the Farves and Petermans, by working at Stanislaus
