I’ve seen some estimates of 15k, maybe even 20k or more of Texas fans in the stands.. anyone that was there want to take a guess? How does that compare to other games, in or out of conference?

Sounds like it was mostly positive outside of the one video and a couple of other random things said here and there..

Would love to hear good or bad stories from anyone that was actually there.. I’m hoping I can make the trip next time.

Also, when do the TV ratings come out? I’m sure Clemson & Duke will be higher because of the day and time slot, but the numbers should be pretty good.

I did see a post on the Bama message boards that it’s the loudest visiting crowd they’ve ever heard at Bryant Denny.

They sounded loud on TV. After Texas’ first touchdown they erupted to the point that I was confused because I thought they were playing in Austin for a second

The band sounded loud as well, but I’m guessing they had a microphone up there. It didn’t look like that many were there for gameday though.. are there any actual Bama fans here or is it just all alters? lol

Most visiting crowds' teams aren't winning.

This is kind of shocking. You'd think Big XII fans (who have never seen anything like an SEC type of crowd) would have been just as intimidated as the Big XII team that was used to playing in 50K stadiums.

It can be when we play cupcakes, which explains why an Arkansas fan might feel that way.

BDS this past Saturday was one of the loudest stadium environments I’ve ever been in.

And to answer the OP, I think 15K is a conservative number. There were a lot.

That was the first loss I’ve witnessed in BDS since the 2005 LSU game, ironically. I probably would have offed myself if I had to watch the 2010 Iron Bowl live.

How come the home games are never like this? And the tailgating scene I’d God Awful weak. Living in Austin and never even know that it’s game day and I live downtown just block from the campus.

Hey I was actually at that game!

Was offered an extra ticket so I figured I’d go see an Iron Bowl in person

I had a great time. People I went with did not.

So you have an extra 200 thousand extra people around you in less than a mile or so, in an already crowded location and you don't notice?

No one with an IQ over 85 believes you and those of us who have live(d) in that exact scenario surely don't.

I've seen 15-20k Auburn fans in Tuscaloosa for an Iron Bowl. 2004 and 2010 come to mind. And we always have our full band there.
