If your team won by 10 run rule this weekend check in, and what inning it happened.

OM twice in the 7th. Would have scored 20 more runs if it had not.

I was curious about that when i saw the 21-6 final in 9. Cause in Oxford we hit a walk off in the 8th lol with another player rounding third heading home

There’s a 10 run rule in college baseball?

I was surprised by that. I thought it was pretty common to put the 10-run rule in for OOC Sunday games.

Lol Pierce made them play through on Saturday and Sunday. Wanted to get newcomers on the mound

The coaches have to agree to it prior. I think they did in this case.

I've never heard of such

My son plays middle school baseball and don't have the mercy rule. I wouldn't think college has it.

But check out my school logo, i don't think we have ever run ruled anyone. And i've never seen us run ruled because the TV goes off way before we get to that point.

If Maine wants to continue playing baseball, they're not going home quite yet.

At least in the Big 12 conference, a Sunday game will stop early if one team is ahead of the other by 10 after 7 or 8 innings. But only Sunday / Game 3 days. Thursday and Friday are fair game to go as long as needed until 27 outs are retired.

In non-conference games, coaches have to agree to such prior, or during the game if it's egregious and the coaches agree there's literally no point in playing anymore (i.e. one team is ahead 19-0 after 7 or something like that). I feel like that usually only happens in mid-week games.

I heard that Maine's HC wanted to play all 9 innings because his team had only practiced outside 8 times pre season due to cold weather. It was 8 degrees Sat. Their outfielders got a LOT of practice chasing balls all over the outfield. FWIW.

Our softball team has 4 in the first 10 games, and 5 shutouts.
Its an 8 run rule though

sometimes teams will agree to have one before a game, yes. And there's a run rule in the SECT. Generally speaking, though, no there isn't a run rule
