LSU went the first half of the season missing Early Doucet, the best offensive player. And the 2nd half of the season missing Glenn Dorsey, the best defensive player. I'm not excusing those losses, injuries are part of the game, but that LSU team played just 2 games at full strength and completely dominated both teams. (VT and Ohio St)

So who all was hurt when you lost to kentucky and arkansas?

Glen Dorsey, Charles Alexander, and Early Doucet. Hester got hurt in the Kentucky game and Flynn was hurt the rest of the year after the Alabama game with nagging ankle and shoulder injuries.

ETA: Post is only by way of epilogue. I don't care who would win such a game until we create time travel.

Well, I obviously can't be seen as being unbiased if I go with UF, so....

01 UT lost at home to an 8-4 UGA team (that lost to boston college in the bowl, as well as south carolina) that had a first year coaching staff across the board, a freshman QB, and a FB as its best running back.

If not for Darnell Docket's dirty play, Graham plays and UF probably beats UT in the make-up game. That was a pretty heartbreaking loss, everyone was making plans to head to the national title game.

Here's a question since there's a few UF fans in here, who would win between 95 and 01 UF?

I was just a litttttle too young to remember mid-90s really clear (aside from UGA), but I remember that being one of your best teams ever I believe. How would they stack up against 01?

I would go with 95 UF. That may have been our best over all team ever...just happened to run into that damn Nebraska Juggernaut

The 95 team. That 01 team just had a knack for shitting the bed.

He wasn't there anymore. Our qb that year was Rex Grossman (the rightful Heisman winner).

The game should've never been postponed to begin with.

Our 95 team wasn't so hot on defense. Fortunately, that led to us hiring Bob Stoops.
01 UF was #1 in scoring offense and #4 in scoring defense. Arguably our most talented team ever.
