Yes I have
There is no depth on the dline at all.
The young linebackers are good.
Once again no depth anywhere on the defense
You give up 27 points a game for 11th in the SEC
The defense just isn't very good.

We will know a lot more about our team in 3 weeks

I'm impressed with Freeze thus far. He'll need to beat Mullen this year because he sure as hell isn't winning in Starkville next year to prevent 5 in a row.

When did this happen?

Have you seen their defense
Go look at the statistics... Ole Miss is only allowing 25 ypg in total Defense more than MSU in Total Defense. MSU is 5th in the Conference, Ole Miss is 7th.
Passing defense MSU is 6 with 188.6 ypg to Ole Miss's 210 (8). Rushing defense... State is 7 with 139 to Ole Miss's 9 with 144.
THe main difference is scoring Defense. MSU has a good lead there.
It's not like that's a huge difference overall. Not with the way you guys are talking, and not with the difference in schedules thus far.

Don't forget to account for who we have both played at this point.

Remind we when anything goes on the scoreboard but points bro.

We haven't been special in yardage based defense in three years with this system, it's scoring defense where we are well above average. And in the end, that is what matters. So far we've held AU to 3 points, UK to 14, and UTenn to 24 defensively. Not bad.

Misread what you said. I read it as "gave up 27 points to the 11th best team in the SEC"

So, it's just occurred to me that if Ole Miss had played State's schedule to this point, they would probably be 7-0 and ranked in the BCS.
Been 22 years since they started a season 3-0.
Been 41 years since they started a season 4-0.
Been 50 years since they started a season 5-0 or better.
I'm sure they haven't had any easy schedules in that timeframe either**

We need a new special teams coach

yeah we're pretty awful there.

Well, it's pretty easy to have a good Defense against Jackson State, Troy, etc. Your Defense wasn't that stellar against Tennessee.
This goes to my point that if Ole Miss had played your schedule to this point, an argument could be made that they could realistically be undefeated and ranked 11 in the BCS. No need to get angry. People will figure out after this weekend how good MSU is.

Oh yeah, I think that right now. If we played again Texas wouldn't get half of what they got in that game.
I agree but y'all would have possibly lost to Auburn in the second week of the season, and probably Tennessee.

Every year is different. Until last year, Miles hadn't had an undefeated regular season. The year before, Auburn won a BCS trophy... You just never know... but it's silly to say that Ole Miss wouldn't because of their past history.

Bingo. I could say State will never win a National Championship because they have never done it before.
