Is there a rule against that? Until the rule is changed or they make scholarships more than a 1 year contract, the coaching staffs will continue to do that most of the time. Not too long ago, OM signed 39. The quantity is not important, it's the quality.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know what the signing limit was about to change to. Like another poster said, we only signed 21 LY so I'm sure this staff will have no problem with this rule.

Alabama can back count 4-5 early enrollees due to undersigning last year. We will sign 29-30 this year.

It's allowed when you only sign 20 one year to have 30 the next. Back-counting is not against the rules man.

Word from our people is we will sign 28 with 3 counting back. I've heard this will be the last year you can count back.

That is correct. The 3 today and 25 in February.

Then CFB is in serious trouble. Sometimes guys just don't qualify or other circumstances come up. Alabama had 21 last year with 1 tragic death.
20 players one year. What if it happens again? 20 or 19 the next? Eventually rosters are going to be depleted. Like Florida's scholarship amount this year.
