There is a cost to attend Bonfire but Yell Practice is open to anyone. Be forewarned though, Yell Practice especially is A&M in full cult mode.

Yes but probably only 10-15 min without traffic.

Yeah I dunno if yell practice is great for opposing fans. I haven't been to student bonfire but it might be the better experience
