They're a legit team that has one the SEC west 3 times since 95 and also have a national championship. How much longer will it take before we SECers welcome them to the family instead of considering them to still be a member of the old southwestern conference.
Obviously they didn't dominate with those stats, but they are still the towards the top of the list of contenders.

I've always considered Arkansas legit and am surprised they haven't won an SEC title yet. They had a good shot in 1998 and 2006 but couldn't quite get over the hump.
Plus, they were a yearly rival for us until after 2002 and we usually have a good, hard-fought contest (of course 2000, 2006, and 2007 are exceptions to that).

If Petrino turns things around, the West is going to be jam packed with talented teams.

It's definitely going to be tougher to win anything going forward. The SEC is now the who's who of coaches.

Arky won a national title as a member of the SWC about 44 years ago.
Not as an SEC member.
Not as an SEC member.

They are going to suck this season.

They're not going to be as bad as some think they are.

How exactly would you welcome them into the league..., with a party?

I don't know what some think but I'll go with 6-6 this season. Divisional titles don't impress me. It's like a heat in the 100 meters. You win it, your in the finals but until you win in the finals you haven't proven squat. The loss to MoState was rather a very embarrassing display of football.
The hogs are a team of emotion. If they're up, look out. If they're down, chalk up one in the win column. May be Petrino will change that.

A party would be quite nice, thank you.

The Razorbacks
have talent at almost
every position year-in and year-out,
yet they’ve failed to make the leap to being a top-tier program.
Still, they’ve managed to
upset LSU several times of late, last year almost
costing the Tigers a shot at the title by
KO-ing them in triple overtime.
All I’m
saying is they
should do better…

I'm expecting (as are most Hog fans) a rebuilding season this year.
Our offense should be decent. We have an offensive genius, so that's a plus. Casey Dick is a senior, so i'm hoping he can't be any worse than the last 3 years. I've been wrong before, just look at Brandon Cox. Our RB, Michael Smith, was above McFadden and Jones on the roster his freshman year, but had to redshirt due to injuries. Anytime a RB is ahead of McFadden OR Jones on a roster, he has got to be good. We had one of the best WR recruiting classes in the nation, but they are still freshmen.
Our defense is going to suck. Plain and simple. Suck. Our offense won't lose us any games this year. Our defense will.
I'm expecting a 6-6 year, but hoping for a 7-5 year.
Oh, and if anyone wants to see the hardest schedule in the history of college football EVER, just look at our 2009-2010 schedule so far...

Arkie will now go to the air attack with HC Petrino. The greatest Razorback outfit was 1966 #2 Arkansas team that took on LSU in the Cotton Bowl. Britenheim & Crockett were deadly( QB & reciever).
Ole Miss vs Arkansas will become a killer.

I say Arkansas goes 6-6 this year. Although the Hawgs are an emotional team known to pull off an upset every once in a while.

I see Arky being able to do this, but not so much with Ole Miss.
